There are 3 horses from the fastest pace last race tandem. Two are early (2,3) with the 2 making an OTE move last race. I think the 2 will at least keep the 3 honest and so I see the 3 coming up short again with an OTE win from the 1 or 2. The 1 had an odd start last time but likes to close. Longer race this time.

Tandem deduction. This is a competitive group that has faced each other many times. Their last race times are close. I think it will go OTE. Two horses have never been beaten by any of the others. By various tangents of who beat who, but didn't get beat by the other I ended up with 1 and 4 who finished within a head of each other at their last meeting at this distance at this track.

Race#2: Interesting 5F dash. Only the 2 and 3 have really been successful on the lead and they come from the top 2 FPLR's. So, I will take the 2 and 3 to win.

Race #9 This will sound redundant but the 2 and 3 are on top of the pace here too. Coming out of the tandem FPLR. I will take the 2 to win, sitting off the 3 and then passing in the stretch.

Good luck everyone!

Race 2

22.4—44.9

3 to the lead, pace pressure from 2 and 4, 1,6,7 look to me a great pace match. Looking for a price I will try and beat the 1, and play the 6 and 7.

I like 5 furlong races.

Here, the 3 looks like the lone early speed. However, his last 2 races show a decline. I'm not going to pick him. I think it's going to take a S type horse to beat him. here are the others.

1: Will be last early and won't get the pace he needs to win. OUT
2: Not an S type. OUT.
4: Usually runs close but can come from further back. Hung in there with a fast pace in first 2 calls last out. Contender.
5: Not passing horses. OUT.
6:Used to be close and used to fight but doesn't now. OUT.
7:has not been running well. OUT.

Choice is the 4.

Nice hit Pook and Cigar.

Can you believe it Pook?. The 1 gets a dream closing trip up the rail and beats our 13/1 shot who is wide by a neck. This game will drive you crazy!

I reread my post and thank goodness it didn't matter, but in the 2nd race I meant the 3 and 4 not 2 and 3. I would've kicked myself if the 4 got up and I screwed up :(

I think this race is quite a bit like the 2nd race. The easy lead horse is the 3 who needs to be loose and hasn't run as well lately. I'm looking for a S type with a power move.

The others:

1: Didn't run well in tandem but didn't break well. Three back and ten back ran against solid paces and made big moves. Contender.
2: P type. OUT.
4: Last two bad races against paces she's handled before even though she had trouble 2 back. OUT.
5 and 6: Presser types. OUT.
7: S type against slow paces. OUT.

My choice is the 1 to win the race.

Just tuned in and watched the replays. Tim you got ripped for the second week in a row. We both found good paths to be on that 4 and...............not to be. And then we both get cheesed by a neck in the 9th. All I can say is Faaaaaaaaaaack!!!!

As you say this game can drive you crazy. Ever since my Liams Map meltdown at Saratoga I have been betting to place as a psychological crutch. Over the long haul I don't think it will be profitable (maybe over certain odds only) but it helps to stay sane.

So yesterday in real life I forked out $20/$20 on each horse in each race win/place. I rarely bet two horses anymore on a daily basis but I do mostly in the contest. So I ended up after putting out $160 with a $288 return for a profit at least, because of place, within a sniff of a really good profit if the 4 hit. And I am still sane. I think. Pretty sure place won't hold up long term especially going on two horses.
