Indiscreet Cat

[Hoof 11]

Our good friend Mike Robitaille has his horse Indiscreet Cat entered in race 9 at Woodbine this Saturday April 23, approx 5:21pm EST.

He’s in for a tag for $40K going 6.5 Furlongs on the Tapeta surface. Unfortunately James McAleney has the mount for Saturday, sorry Mike but i’m not a fan. On the bright side this gelding is training like a freakin beast, let’s hope that carries over to race day.

I might have to venture over and lend my support, regardless i wish Mike and the horse the best of luck.

I’ll post my thoughts on the race after i have had a chance to look at it.

Pace Projection – 22.4 – 45 – 1:09.9

Contenders – 7-2-3

This race is full of question marks. The possible pace setters are the 3 and 7. With the track having a bias towards front runners over the last 2 days, i think Indiscreet Cat is in tough today, he might need slower fractions. If he runs above last season’s numbers, which one would expect, he has a shot but i don’t have a lot of confidence in McAleney to get the job done. I have to go with the horses that have recency.

Surface is warming up, closers are starting to hit the board. This bodes well for Mike's entry.

The 2 big closers walked away with it. A very respectable 3rd for Mike, good stuff. :)
