looked like this one might do better later as a three year old.
Did'nt make the 9 furlong move too well.

this one WOULD have to be a serious contender on all counts.

the energy is there, but the median is going the wrong way. If you compare this one to Lawyer Ron, the latter might be in trouble total energy wise. Remember Sir Cherokee came out of the Ark Derby (injuried and did not run) with numbers around 162 and median 67.7. Smarty came out of the race with 161.95 and 67.5 for comparison.

of all colts reviewed this one was the most consistent. EVERYTHING about these lines says monster.

looking at it again with these parameters, I see cracks I did not see before such as the median being VERY LOW around what we see with Birdstone. Still a very good animal as subsequent races proved.

I've been fooled many a time by one race wonders like this one. NOT THIS TIME however as the median was a clue.

all within the parameters of total energy >162 median around 67.5

this one is a little more subtle. It really helped that this one was alone on the lead.

total energy, % median, all going the right direction. A contender anytime you see these together in the past performances fro the Derby. Only a subtle rise in % median over the average but still within range.
