Looking over the field of two year old colts and potential contenders for the 2017 Kentucky Derby....
Syndergaard comes off some quick early pace fractions of the "one turn" mile Champagne. This race should give some hints about the racing surface of Belmont as Frosted has a wicked 132 and change race from this year' s Met Mile.
Syndergaard will be pressed on the early pace by Three Rules along with the other Pletcher entry, Theory, but Theory will more likely come off the pace.
The horse that impressed me in this field is Baffert's Klimt even though he was beaten by Gormley in his first two turn route race. Baffert might have wanted Klimt to learn to relax and to come from off the early pace.
So my two cents opinion on this race comes down to Baffert's Klimt and Pletcher's Theory...
