Sad news

Bill V'S mom Esther Varone died last night at the age of 83.

I will always remember at the Pace and Cap day at Laurel how
unorganized we were and how she stepped right in and took charge
of everything

I had only met her a few times but I had a love and great respect
for her and Bill's dad Brooks

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bill and his family

Tough loss. I had to go through that in 1996 (mother), then 2002 (Wife) and then again this year (wife)....My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Sorry about your guys losses as well, my Mom passed about 10
years ago and appreciated the support I got here


Bill reminded me that his Mom was a big reason he was able to start
this website and his old one VDC Messenger as well. As I mentioned earlier
she was very organized and would read all the posts on here

She truly will be missed

Bill, I am sad that Esther has passed from your life, and from your family's life. I have met all your family (except your children) and Esther was the life of the party on a few occasions when we all gathered in Saratoga. We all loved her.

I know you will all be grieving, but I think love never passes away. I suspect she's organizing something, wherever she is, and that bond will always be there as long as there is love.

Please give a hug from me and Alison to everyone when you see them (including yourself).

Bill, I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mom Ester. I remember her fondly from Saratoga the year we had the memorial race for Dr. Sartin and Jim Bradshaw. She was a very lovely person. I know you and your family, especially your Dad Brooks, are hurting badly and missing her terribly. I have a feeling she is watching over you all and telling you she isn't far away. I come here not very often, and I was so saddened to read the news. I only met Esther once, but what a doll she was. We spent much of the day laughing and talking about all kinds of things. I could tell instantly that she had an amazing spirit and beautiful heart... I know that carries on. May she rest in God's heavenly peace.

It was a great day in 2009 to meet her and the rest of the P&C gang
My wife and I still talk about that day....
