Ah yes, indeed...that is the question to be answered. But how does one? Dr. William Quirin tried to address that with his Quirin Speed Points and most recently, Steve Klein with his Klein Speed Points but still you have those surprise early speed horses. How exactly does one or can one really do that?
the early late balance is key to knowing 1) who will be UP FRONT 2) how much company will the have and 3) will they have enough gas (total energy) in the tank to last? simple as that.
THERE ARE very few SUPRISE early horses if you look at multiple lines
If there are too many on, or near the profile, it requires a pass.
