How much can the team win by that I project.
So last nights results were
5-0 CIN, I had Mia+1 so I got the spread right but not the right team
8-5 OAK, I had Oak-2 so I got both the spread and the team right
7-6 BOS, This counts as a push since the score was not more than 1.
- means this is the favorite and + is the underdog

Still don't get it?
CIN wins 5 to 0, Mia is +1, so I am confused as to how you got the spread correctly? You picked Mia +1 so shouldn't the score be 5 to 1 CIN?
Is the money line equal to your spread?
Thanks, Mike

Ok, so here is a example from odd shark:
Dallas -4.5 (-110)
New York +4.5 (-110)
As you can see, Dallas is the 4.5-point favorite which means they would need to win the game by five points or more to win the bet. Conversely, New York is a 4.5-point underdog which means they would need to win or not lose the game by more than four points to win the bet.
If Dallas wins 20-17, then they win by three points and did NOT cover the 4.5 points, but New York has “covered the spread” because they stayed within 4.5 points.
So when the Reds won (which I did not have) and for goodness sake that I had them a -1 to win the game, they would need to score more than 1 run to with the game. And the score was 5-0, so if I would have had the Reds, I would have gotten the correct spread and the correct pick. I am not saying I got that "Game" right, all I am saying is that I got the correct spread on the game no matter what team. Make sense now mowens?

Hypothetical Bets for both money line and spread:
You had MIA and you bet (100 to make 165) which was a loss and you had MIA with a +1 (110 to make 100) which is also a loss. So you lost both for a -210
You had OAK (160 to make 100) which was a win and you had them -2 (110 to make 100) which is also a win. So you won both for a +200
You had TOR (100 to make 170) which was a loss and you had TOR +1 (110 to make 100) which was a push.So you lost one and pushed on the other for a -100.
Total for the day -110
So in the CIN game your saying you got the spread right because you made the money line favorite (-2)?
Are you determining whether you won or lost on your spread, the money line, or both?
Do you use a formula base off the money line to set the spread?
Just trying to understand what your thought process is.
Regards, Mike

No I am just doing picks not spreads. I just add the spread.
