Bill, This is a great race for the Friday Night Race Of the week.

Because I like being No. 1, I'll post first.

I'll discard Sohgol #4 because his low energy figure and his Early running style does not compensate for the fact that he is the no. 1 "FX" horse.
I was left with the 1, 2 and 9.
The 9 and the 1 fit the Presser style that my read out in Energy indicates.
They also have the best "HE" factors.
I'll go with the ( 9, 1 ) to win. TAHTEEB and IMMORTALITE.

This contender is the interesting one, who loves the track and has had some problems, I will call this the value contender.

This is the last contender that I dislike completely and hope is bet down. Now who can say which one will win back to back?

Wow, Bill; I'm surprised to see you, of all people, select a mile and 3/8 race! :>)

According to the methodology, or at least what's always been my understanding of it, races under 5.5F and over 9.5F were verboten! That's because factors other than pace are largely responsible for the outcome of those races.

There's certainly nothing wrong with playing those races. Just kind of threw me to see you pick one of those for the race of the week. These are the kinds of races I thought you always passed.

I'll take pretend bets on Aubonne and Candy Factory based on old fashioned handicapping.

A different race then we are used to for sure. If you are playing the Breeder's Cup you will have to deal with longer turf races and at times European horses without any U.S. pacelines.

Aubonne and Tahtheeb are coupled. They look like a tough entry. Memorette also looks good, but I will not use both in exotic plays. I will take #1 Aubonne as a win contender, and use this horse with #4 Late Date and #5 Sohgol in my exacta. Will also consider reversing #4 and #5 on top with Aubonne/Tahtheeb entry and #7 Memorette.

Correction:

The horses that I picked to win are the same but their Saddle Cloth numbers are (1A & 2).

I originally posted them by their post position. Sorry:D
I'll go with TAHTEEB and IMMORTALITE to win

Yes It sure is a wild race. I really wanted to mix it up
hoping for a real big longshot for someone
But It looks bleek

Your correct I would for sure pass this race But since these races
really are helping me I went with a difficult distance/surface

My two win bets are the 7 and the 3 I'm planing 60/40%
a 3- 1 exacta box might be a savor

I will go with 3, 6 and 7 small exacta box and win 3 and 6.

Final 5 are 7,6,5,3,2.
I 'll take the 5,6 for win bets. These two are the e spd in the race. The 5 can also press.
I think they will be going 1,2 into the stretch with the 6 on the lead.
The 5 has the best pedigree for the turf and the distance in this race and won the tandem between these two last out.
The 6 gets blinkers on and is a DMR horse for the course. Court who was up for the 2 wins last year is up again for this. The workout pattern is interesting with the back to back on 8-11, 12. Decent chance to flip the tandem today.
If the 5 runs the same race as last time the 6 may coast and not be caught as it should be able to go much slower than 1:11.1 that it had to do last out.
If they lose it will probably be to the 7.
I will use a 7/5,6 saver exacta on the win bets.
I don't like the 1 at all. If it doesnt get bet below 2-1 I will toss it. If it goes as fav I will include it in the saver 1,7/5,6 just enough to cover the win bet.
The 2 has a shot.
The 3,4,8 do not. The 3 has distance limitations. The 4 is a 3yo against older 1st time and the 8 fuggedit.

Rich and Bob Cochran
Here is a work up of how I saw the race
My vector program was not available so I used Spec 160
Here is the summary screen with the TS del rankings in the upper
Right hand corner
I added The APV CR readouts to the bottom , Thanks Bob for the tip about using these numbers and there great success in route races ..
Also I added a review of my betting choices
Thanks again for working my race

Congrats to ALL the winners.

I just wanted to note and acknowledge Steve ( "Fast") as he had the big winner identified solidly as his " Value horse". Good call Steve. The others just didnt fire :)
