My feeble attempt at the match up shows me the por comes from 2,3,4 with 22, 45.3, 58.3, 1.12. The 10 is only presser who has beaten this por and he has done it 3 times in last 10.
10 looks like solid key horse. Also comes off claim. Actually a reclaim as he was in this barn prior to last race.
3 is classic seconditis horse.

#5 Pick Em' looks like a tremendous bargain at 10-1. He likes, the track and distance. He's got the best Second Call and is number one in TPR. I make his Fair Odds at about 5/2.

#4 Praire Lites is the class of the field. He's got the best True Speed and has won 2 out of 3 at MNR. The only knock is the short price.

The 5 comes off a drop, however the trainer doesn't have a clue. $15k to 7.5k at MNR isn't really that big. I think I'll get 6/1 at post, and the #4 will be overbet likely under 2/1.

Tom,
I'm not here to brag. I'm not a very good capper by any means. Richie and shoe can attest that. I can't convince myself in betting the winner, or the best horse. So, been afraid of missing the elusive winner, I always bet exacta, which by handicapping standards can take you to the poor house. A few days ago in a phone conversation Richie explained to me the Match Up concept, as Jim Bradshaw explained to him. Richie posted in the "THE HAT" area under WOW. Since, I have been capping that way. Doesn't work all the time, but occasionally I get 2 of my contenders, sometime 3, in the money. Richie can verify the verity of my statement.

This is just a passing idea. There is less than one week left to Del Mar, where the surf meets the turf. The folks from this board should do races from this track till its sweet end. Next year it will be poly crap, Bing might sing with the new surface because the dead have no rights, I think that he loved racing and he will be rolling in his grave next season when the poly crap begins. Just my crazy way of looking at things, I will be playing Delmar's last few cards that are still good old dirt.

Good idea. Post up. I will play your races for sure. I agree about Bing not liking this polystuff. maybe we can hear him sing one more time!

If it is still running next Friday let's do Dmr then we can go back on a "schedule"
