Since I am only limited to posting in this ONE arena, my apologies if it might seem off topic. This relates to the HAT CHECK area regarding the question of horses vs performances. At the heart of this method is the belief that MOST horses have a "locked in" best running style. When the match up provides a niche for that best style, barring trouble, they win. We are then looking at the intrinsic ability of the HORSE, nothing else and this PEFORMER will show it's best style/ability through multiple lines in it's PERFORMANCES. It behooves the bettor to understand it is the HORSE we are trying to isolate and a single past performance can be fraught with sample error. This is why rational people look deeper to see how this PERFORMER performs over various pace battles and does not simply depend upon a single PERFORMANCE to decide whether it can run against today's match up.

babies are all about learning to run: a steady progression toward running an entire race, so when you see any of them progress like this, it is a signal that they are ready today.
Problem was that the crowd knew it too, but 2/1 was okay for this one. AGAIN this shows that it is the PERFORMER that matched with this field NOT just a peformance.
