I swear I remember running into a website that allowed
us horse players to book bets from other horse players about 10 years ago.

Am I wrong? or anyone know of such a site?

Thanks for any input,
Mike :)

Hi Mile. I seemed to remember that also but can't remember if it was at MTH when fixed odds started.

Thinking about it some more,
I'm not certain I witnessed players booking bets
to/from other players now.

Either way I'm not a NJ resident.

Without digging into it, my guess is
allowing a fixed betting market hasn't hurt
the overall betting handle for Monmouth and the Meadowlands.

Are you perhaps thinking of Betfair?

I use it in the UK. I believe that it was available in the usa and then this stopped. From what I gather it might be available again, but I'm not sure.

It essentially works with backers and layers putting up money at various odds into a market for a race. If you are taking from the available odds on offer, your bet is matched against the money that has been put up at the available price. This could be money from lots of different people, not just head to head so to speak.

There is another betting exchange available called Betdaq, but they aren't anywhere near as good. They closed my account after 3 winning bets.

I'm certain it wasn't Betfair.

When I checked Monmouthbets last week it looked somewhat familiar.
