I really do not like how often it crashes. Assemble All Races should not crash the program.

I do like the ease it imports the races to excel.

I do not like it still lacks real time odds and I have not been able to get results in the program even after upgrading my trackmaster account to premium with results.

I still can't get it to do the scratches automatically, even after upgrading trackmaster and re enabling TS. All of these kind of things where I have to go and add them in manually make the software a lot less valuable to me. I know everyone has their own things that give value, but for me, having to manually put in scratches and results is slow and I hate it.

It seems the screens I use the most, PoH and BL/BL are still working so that is great. I have not done any kind of comparison to see if the values have changed, but it seems to work the same.

The interaction with excel is great. Wish my scratches and results did not need to be entered by hand though.

I have found Ted to be an extremely honest and solid businessman over the years and I love the way he keeps the Sartin methodology going and I will probably always keep a subscription active because of that. My two cents are to make the software bug free and keep the current features working accurately before adding more things of (to me anyway) dubious value.

Dan, thanks for the feedback. We need to have a one-one Zoom meeting.

1. I want to see the crash scenarios, please. I have worked for the better part of a year to add all that is new in RDSS, PLUS make it reliable and relatively crash-resistant (if not completely crash-proof). Dozens of users have tested this for several months now and crashing during assembly has not been high on the problem-list. I want to improve it. Let me know by email a schedule for connecting you for this.

2. You should be getting real-time Scratches with Get TS Ratings set to CHECKED. And in the latest/final version in the Software Download thread - Get Tote is enforced if Get TS Ratings is checked - which means you always get live Scratch updates during the race runup. Again, in a Zoom call, you can show me why you say you don't get Scratch updates. This is normally a part of RDSS - when connected to TwinSpires.

3. With the TrackMaster Bundle plan - if you are downloading against that plan (check the settings on the Registration Screen - your TrackMaster account section) - you WILL get the Summary Results shown on screens and videos. Double-check your settings.

4. Real time odds is immanent! It took this much effort to get what we've got. After publishing this for everyone to see tomorrow (Wednesday May 7), after addressing the inevitable bug fixes that escaped the larger testing group, and tidying up this Leverage/Pace forum. Then - I'll be turning my attention to reinstating WPS pool live data from TS, along with new Exacta and Daily Double and Will-pay grids.

5. Leverage/Pace and NewPace offer REAL value. Of course you don't have to use them. If RDSS works for you the way you've always used it - GREAT: stick with that. L/P is a great implementation of classic Matchup/Pace principles along with keys to getting decent prices from vertical wagers in the modern age of lower-priced Win-pool odds. Feel free to stay tuned as time goes on to ongoing evolution and discussion of these concepts and best-practices.

Again, thanks for the feedback. Let me know how to see the details of your above noted issues.

Ted

Hey Ted,

No doubt it is of value to some. Probably the stuff I make money on, like BL/BL and PoH is of no value to them. I have always maintained with Howard's methodology, the pacelines you choose to represent the horses are what points you to what makes money for you.

I love RDSS and have made money with it over time. I know using my pacelines, what parts of the program are solid for me and that is what I stick with. I had the 18-Sov as my sole pick for win, I had 3,13,17 and 21 with him, so I just missed the exactas but did cash on win and place. RDSS works. No question. You just have to figure out which parts of it work based on the pacelines you as an individual select.

As for the crashing. I noticed that my the CPU on my laptop goes to 100% on the assemble. It is a Intel Core i7 7500U and I have 24 gb of ddr 4 RAM, so I would say this set up is probably slightly slower than average, but should be ok. I just installed the software on Sunday night I think, so I only have two days under my belt. I have been re assembling the cards I handicapped last week with the new version as opposed to assembling new cards - not sure if that matters. Overall, it seems amazingly backwards compatible, which is awesome.

Right now, I think I have looked at 6 cards. I have another 6 from last week I am going to run in the morning. I will certainly keep you up to date on what I am finding. If I have any ideas or get any solid data, I will email it to you immediately.

Maybe windows 10 with this old laptop is not enough... if needed i will buy a newer laptop.
