Decided to do 1 more 100 race survey. The trks were PARX,MVR,LRL,OP, GP & CHARLES TOWN. All levels of races were used. Here are the results
Races Wins Places Shows Outs
100 73 18 6 3
As you can see one of the 3 finished in the ex 91 times and tri 97%.So after 300 races one of the 3 finished in the ex 273 times[91%] and the tri 289 times[96%]. Folks pay attention to these races and you can cash a lot of tickets.

Tim thank you once again for exposing the power of RDSS in terms even newcomers to the program should be able to see and understand. So for those of you who have invested your money to use RDSS pay attention to this kind of information and it will help become a better handicappers

This is good to know when we like a runner

outside the top 3 in these events.

It gets us to think: "OK, how much do I like this longshot now?"

Thanks for sharing this Tim.

Forgot to point out that it does not matter where PL/BPP rank the horses just as long as they are the same 3. For example
PL has top3 of
1,2,3 and BPP has top 3 of 3.2.1.

Profit Line and Prime Power are reading the same race from different angles. Prime Power tells you who looks strongest on paper through speed, class, and form, assuming the race runs clean. Profit Line attempts to project how the race actually finishes, which makes it more durable when things begin to shift. In low pressure races Newpace (POR ≤72), they usually align, and when they do, that is your green light to trust the structure and press. But once pressure climbs into the 73–82 range, both begin to drift. Prime Power leans too heavily on early dominance, while Profit Line softens but still requires confirmation. That is where most bettors get exposed, trusting rankings without questioning whether the race can even support them.

As pace pressure increases, both tools are under stress, but Prime Power breaks harder, continuing to point toward horses that cannot survive the pace. Profit Line holds up slightly better, not because it is strong, but because it is less wrong. And that is the tell. When the tools disagree, or when they both land on a pace vulnerable favorite, that is not confusion, that is signal. This is what makes NewPace powerful. It does not care who looks best, it tells you what the race will do under pressure. While others are betting projections, you are betting reality.

Nice explanation Brian. What I pointed out is that is that when PL & BPP have the same top 3 one of those 3 will be in the ex over 90% of the time, however, one must still deal with how that track plays at the dist & surface, NTL horses %med etc. The same with new pace. One can not blindly except any rankings. This is where Scotts' form factors & Quirins' failure guidelines, and track models are a big helps. It is up to each of us to keep records based on our contender & paceline selections and engaging the best tool of all our brain. Wishing good skill to all our P & C group.

Tim, your method is solid and I am not doubting your expertise. I just know that some folks don't understand the how they work. Prime Power ranks horses on raw ability like speed, class, and form assuming the race unfolds cleanly and favors the strongest on paper. Profit Line focuses more on how the race is likely to actually finish by accounting for pace and pressure. When things get messy Prime Power keeps pointing to who should win while Profit Line does a better job reflecting who can win. Yes, I am agreeing with you about just blindly using numbers and rankings. We are saying the same thing, I'm just adding in how it can help those get a better understanding of newpace and how to incorporate the numbers and rankings. There is a lot of money out there for the taking! Good skill to all!!

No problem Brian. We are both trying to help folks win. I do look at NP. In fact I have revamped my form where I list my picks and the next column is the NP rankings being sure to note the swing horse. Then of course we have the key horse factor. I note both the RMATH & the Leverage Pace keys on my form. This game is always throwing us curve balls and most of those who stay in the past and don't adapt are doomed to failure. Thank goodness for RDSS [the best & easiest program to use we have ever had] imho.

You are correct. I am actually going to try to post a race I hit on Wednesday and how I used profit line vs prime power to land on my winner. Once I learn the concept, things become much easier to lean and absorb. So I am going to make an attempt show my approach. I will post it shortly.
