Here is a link where you can download Jim's "5 step approach" he made for us here

Read through it a couple of times SLOWLY. This is the foundation for everything that follows in the Hat Check area.
This DOES take a while to digest.
These are steps and techniques DEFINITELY usable with your software ok?
I hope this helps D!

If you are interested in applying some of the matching techniques with YOUR software here are 4 races done before the fact outlining a possible technique for selecting lines off RAW data based on projecting a pace and then let the software do it's thing. I am quite sure HTR has the raw data available to do the same D

Now to be fair here is another race where the outcome was NOT good using the same principals ok?

ok now a third one that was worked just last week using line selection once again WITHOUT referring to any form of speed ratings. Selecting is done based on matchup techniques grounded in the 5 step approach. $ 19.00 winner ranked a clear 2nd is certainly acceptable I think

Finally today's 2nd at Gulfstream that was worked last night. Winner pays a big $3.20 BUT was a standout on both RAW and then the ADJUSTED screens. I mean heck these guys win too and I picked the race at random!
lol

These are 4 races from 4 different tracks. Breeder's Cup to cheap claimers.
I am sure HTR can adapt to some "Matchup stuff too!
"It's just a dang horse race" - "The Hat"
Richie:)
Richie,
Thanks for taking the time to put all that information together. As you know HTR is based alot on the work of Sartin & Brohamer and others. This month Ken Massa released a new program called Maxvel (Maximum Velocity) which should be very useful in applying Match Up techniques.
Look forward to Reading Mr. Bradshaw's "5 Step Approach".
Best,
D
