Many years ago I heard a quote by Teddy and knew the "gist" of it but forgot the content until I saw the movie RED DAWN (with Patrick Swayze) and after looking into it, T.R. spoke this as part of a speech to the Hamilton Club in Chicago. I have worn out about 10-13 copies of it as it sits right next to the computer everyday. You don't advance in this life being timid
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."
Theodore Roosevelt
26th president of US (1858 - 1919)
I repeat it everyday. Thanks Teddy.
