P&C member Emilio had eye surgery over the weekend.

Anything having to do with sight is serious stuff. Keep a good thought for him if you can.

Looking forward to your return amigo :)

Hi All. Thanks for the kind comments. I had my operation on Friday and I am starting to feel better. I got 4 stitches in my left eye and I am puting about 27 eyes drops in my left eye every day. I'll be doing this for the next month or so. Besides that I am doing find.

Something really crazy happened on Sunday. My daughter who does not go to the track at all except on Special occasions she asked me if I liked anything. It was Queen's Plate day at Wooodbine.

I could only use my right eye and I looked at the first 3 races before my eye got tired and I saw 3 early horses in all 3 races. I did not have any small bills so, I gave her a $100 bill and I told her to bet $20 on each horse to win and $2 on the DD and $2 on the p3.

She comes home and hands me around $4400.

She makes a miskate and puts $20 to win on all 3 horses and than she put $20 on the DD and $20 on the p3. She assumed that I said to bet $20 on each bet.

And she bet the same for herself. Between her and me we took almost $9000 from woodbine. She even bet $20 on the winner of the Queens plate not because she is a hcp but because no other woman jockey has ever won a race and there was a female jockey on the 9horse. The horse paid over $32 to win.

That's not all. I looked at the last race and saw that there was a lone Early and I decided to bet it on the internet. I picked #3 and placed the bet. The horse won and paid $8.50. Would you believe it that I did not place that bet because I did not complete all the steps that you have to make in order to place a bet. (because of my operation) I did not see that I did not press the button to "Accep the bet"

The win came at a good time because I will not be able to work for a while.

AND THANKS AGAIN FOR THE KIND COMMENTS

Emilio:

Enjoyed your story; especially your daughters $$$$ misunderstanding. Add another good eye to the equasion, and you'll be forever in clover. Or, at the very least, you won't miss the "Accept the Bet" button again.

Regards,
Chris

Whoah! WHOAH! A-mazing!! I bet this made you forget about your problems (at least momentarily)!

Emilio, I can think of no better person (at this time) more deserving of this prize than you!

All the best,

Jon :D

p.s. Perhaps you should seriously consider having your daughter place your bets for you more often? :)
