I don't know if this is valid but I used a set of pars to determine relative track speed. What I wanted to determine is the relative track speed between different tracks. I plugged the pars in without beaten lengths.
I wanted to focus on TE (Total Energy) to possibly determine which tracks run faster than normal and the ones running slower than normal. I just tried this with 6 furlongs and sorted on TE. My reasoning for doing this is that in extreme cases the Automatic Adjustment may not be enough to compensate for comparing a faster track Emerald Downs, to a slower track Calder Race Course for example.
THOROMATION users will recall that if total energy differences between the highest and any other horse entered is greater than 1.75 energy units it may call for the Alternate Adjustment.
All opinions or suggestions are welcome.
