I'm looking to obtain some current par times by class level for the Southern California circuit including some of the feeder tracks like Northern California and maybe Turf Paradise. I just listened to the entire Saratoga 1989 seminar plus I'm working on the "Let's Get Serious Seminar", and Brohamer reminded me of some of their usefulness.

Any thoughts on what the best source(s) might be.

Thanks.

I believe Cynthia Publishing and Dave Schwartz at Horsestreet both sell par times. In fact Cynthia Publishing may sell the SoCal par times for a reduced rate as I recall.

Sounds like it might be an excellent way to go, Jim - thanks. Looks like they are still located in the same strip mall in Studio City of Ventura Blvd. they were in when a buddy and I took a course in handicapping after work given by Dick Mitchell in the early 90's. Dick was a character but I think he had his heart in the right place. Gordon Pine was still there and Kitts Anderson was manning the front desk.

A few years later I would attend a one day seminar with Dick, Barry Meadows, and Dick's associate Ron Ambrose, in one of the turf club suites at HOL. Part of the deal was getting your picture taken in the winner's circle and I think we got P Val. I think I still have the pic somewhere.

Thanks Joe. Those charts look solid as well. I had used their pp's for a bit a couple of years ago.

I'm not sure how any can be now for So Cal

with SA going dirt to cushion to reformulated cushion to surface TBA all in a Years time

I'm sure they will tweak with Del Mar's Poly after the slow and very tiring surface.

I think Pars can only be used on Hollywood's Cushion, it's only one with enough data.

My suggestion is to buy Speedfigures.com for Hollywood & Del Mar and then keep your own on the current meet and make Brohamer like adjustments using your current data.

For Santa Anita in the future, who knows??

For the days, I've played Santa Anita would say that the current track favors Pressers, unless lone Speed or too much speed is the race then E or S horses are the play as it would be on most tracks.

I think a GOOD current track profile is more vital than Pars, because the lack of Data.

I have been looking at the pars from Thorostats.com (T Boles and Murph) from PA....very useful, and very cheap. Updated daily, you have several options and
you can access them for a month at about $9.

Thanks for the link, Tom. I've seen them post on PA but had no clue as to their quality.

I have a program that the Methodology gave out called Parmaker, good for making your own pars. Willing to share.
