Here is a video tutorial on making attachments to posts. The tool used for screen captures is Snagit, but ScreenHunter or any other capture tool which saves to GIF files works as well.

A quick way is to hit the Prt Scr key, then open Paint.

Edit and paste to Paint.
You will have the whole screen at this point.

Use the capture icon - small dotted rectangle - to select the part of the whole screen you want to cut out.

The hit File>New, save old file>No, then paste what you have cut out.
Now save it.
