The ML favorite # 6 looks like today is its day
Looks like a lone early I may go the Buddy Alvarado route
and make a place bet only on this one who seems to run second
7 places in 24 races

With the race being a route, and the 3 being a def. sprinter, I would guess the race going OTE? With my bet being the 5 who won 3 back against a 23.7, 47.6, but thats just my opinion.

Hi Bill,
Just out of curiosity why did u choose #7 3rd paceline with a SR of 79 when his last line was an 81?

Bob
I think he chose it because of the faster 2nd half of the race. 3 Back had a faster 3/4 time, and a faster final time.

also...maybe the "adjusted speed rating" was better on the 3rd line..
anyway i'm taking the #5....made up 12 lengths in his sprint race..
horse looking good in post parade ..on his toes!!!

Hi Bob I just saw your post, and I made a mistake.
Its nice when you make mistakes and still get a winner
I entered both line 1 and 3 they were both adjusted to 68
speed ratings. To break the tie I looked at the primary
tab and went with the lower line score for line 3
Does everyone see the mistake I made?
look at the beaten lenghts for line 3 8.5 for me a no no
I make mistakes like this and I am working to correct this
for me line 1 was the line to use

Thanks Bill,
How did you go about making a decision to bet the 3rd horse instead of the top 2?

Hello Bob
Thank you for asking. What I do is something I call the binder method
I'm a little short on time but basically I look at the top 2 horses first
and decided of those two who is my first bet. In this race its the 6.
I then look at horse 3 4 and 5 If horse 3 and 4 are binder improvers
I bet them if not I will bet the third horse if I think its a better
choice than the loser of the top two match up Not the Bradshaw match up
the BLBL tier match up
I bypassed the 2 horse because I thought it was way too late
for a win bet It had a RDSS running style of Late and a wild late stick
on the Early late graph I might have bet it place or show but I already
decided on the place bet on horse 6
I bet the 7 win and 6 place
hope it makes sence as I type this driving with my knees

I'm sorry I confused you
It was not my intent. What you see me do is not the same as what you
might be suggested to do by others
You are seeing excellent ways to use the Sartin methodology
using powerful tools available on RDSS
These suggestions are given by professional players
What you see me do is just basic Sartin methodology stuff
that I learned from manuals and the Follow Ups
The reason I used line 3 was because both line 1 and 3
had 68 speed ratings Back in the good old days
I would just enter both lines and then push the F6 key
and Validator would show which line is best
Now Ted has the Primary line score Now the law is use
the best primary line score
Here is were I have confused you
I use the best line of the last 3 speed ratings
with lines that have a less than 7.5 beaten lengths
This is only because I learned it from the Follow UP
The law has changed here too. Ted says that with Spec
mode it is ok to use lines with over 7.5 beaten lenghts
To make a long story short what you see me do
is from The methodology as Doc left it
What you see others do is the work of good men who know
what is best for today

Hi Mike
Here you can see that using either line gets you the same
results if you use both lines they are tied at 25 on the line score and 14.3
on the betting line
and below is if I just use line 1 same as line 3

Bill, now that your using spec instead of V do u still hit the adjust button before u pick your lines?
Bob
Bill V.

Yes Bob I just look at the adjusted screen
I look at the original lines first, just to get a visual idea of early pressure.
I look at tandems however I really am not getting the hang of them.
Its like most things with me I'm on a quest to learn
Once I look at running styles I only look at the adjusted lines
Thanks for asking
good skill
