May 1985 PIRCO Membership

619 people in the entire world were members back then. I find it amazing especially considering that Doc got some publicity at Handicapping Expo '84.

Hi Lou

Times were difference No Internet Back then Doc wanted to limit the methodology to no more than 1000. Then you had to show you "really wanted to win" It was never an open business
even in 1997 I still had to be welcomed in and then I had to
subscribe to the Follow Up to be considered a client

Anybody remember cash or check or money orders only ?
NO credit cards PayPal -thats what you did when you won you paid back your pals LOL

I believe Doc was invited to Expo 84 more out of a tribute to his
ideas about pace The dynamics of incremental velocity was so new
and that his edge made the name Sartin a good addition to a new world
of computer aided wagering
