before you laugh at the name see if it can work for you ;)

There are TWO ways to approach the "Scatter".

The first involves those who do NOT model. The 2nd is for those who DO model.

1) ONLY when u can reduce a field to FOUR contenders. Take your 2 win bets and put them on TOP in an exacta over the remaiming 2 contenders

for example: contenders are 4 5 6 7 and u take win bets on 4 and 5 ok
play exactas 45/67 do NOT put your win bets together. Cost: 4 Units

2) for those modeling this situation will come up very very rarely BUT when it does take advantage and "Scatter" your way to some extra cash man

ONLY when there are TWO extremely strong corrolaries pointing to the win.

ok reduce field to five contenders. ok when the top 2 horses in EACH of the 2 strong model categories are FOUR different horses among the 5 contenders
"Scatter" them in exacta patterns this way. Cost: 8 Units

MODEL :
strong category "a" - points to the 2 and 3
strong category "b" - points to the 5 and 6

take exactas like this 2,3/5,6 AND 5,6 / 2,3

--------------------------------------------------------

Try it paper betting for 20 races see if it can work for you.

Then when someone asks you" How the hell did u hit that 250 dollar exaxcta" u can just tell em
I "Scattered" my way into it

Richie,Why wouldnt you reverse the exacta on the first scenario as well? You could be leaving some big money on the table.Jeff

Hi Rich I worked about 10 races
on the first 20 race cycle and after losing many
I went back to turning it around and boxing or Key boxing

I found that Doc's 3 horse box or
the keybox system I was using works best for my way of lines/contender selection
That is = my two win bets / over a third what if horse = 2 units over 1 unit
Then turning it around = The what if horse /over my two win bets
one unit over 2 units

Thanks for the game plan but paper betting for me is usless
I think totally different at the betting machine/teller/computer when cash is king. I bet what I can afford to lose and my time at the track/races is
very limited. I need to win money and to be correct for my mental health Thanks again for the plan. I will keep an eye on it but have left the test

Too many units Jeff.

HOWEVER if u paper bet 20-40 races to test it and it shows your way is profitable JUMP IN with both hands:)

Richie,From my experience I have been burned too many times not turning it around. For me spending the extra 4 bucks is worth it also helps me mentally as well just like Bill said in case it does come in.Jeff

When I was away getting my life straight I learned a phrase:

" If it don't apply let it fly"

that seems appropriate here

if u tried it and it dont work throw it to the curb

for ME I get a play about 4 races from every 10 RACECARDS
