If anyone has the skills/tools and time to spare on a project related to the Sartin Methodology Library, please email me or send me a Private Message.

I have all the original PDF scans of all the documents, and I want to change the watermark across the top of each Manual and Follow Up issue; also remove the Password and the printing restriction.

If you know how to run a PDF document through a PDF converter or printer driver and would like to help out by adding a new watermark to a LOT (or some) documents, please let me know. It will also help a lot if you know how to use a FTP program to upload and download bulk files.

You could practice on Follow Up Issue #88 which is not password-protected or print-disabled, but does have the old watermark. Just send me a sample.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I have received a few responses and the project is under way.

I'll let folks know when the new Library PDFs are posted.

Just an update on the Library renovation project. A big thank you goes out to Paceandcap member benzer who responded to my request for help and has converted original scans of all the Follow Ups so they now require no Password to open and can now be printed. Also, he has added some missing indexes to several Issues. With the advent of Summer, several folks who have been studying their Follow Ups have expressed a desire to print them out and do like our old friend 'Capper does.

Next, benzer and I will be working on similarly updating all the other PDF Manuals and documents in the Library.

In working on this project, I have found myself rereading many articles as they came up and I continue to marvel at the depth and breadth of the topics Doc Sartin and all the contributors presented. I also fondly remember opening the mail all those years ago when the each new Follow Up issue would arrive fresh (the originals of these very PDF documents) and I would often just stop and read the whole thing at one sitting.

I heartily recommend every member here to spent time rereading issues and articles at random, whether from older or newer times - you will get a better understanding of what we are doing today.

In 2008, I told Doc that we were making all the Follow Ups and older Manuals available online as a study and reference resource. He was in full agreement that this was going to be a valuable tool to help those who were sincerely interested in gaining understanding and inspiration about the Methodology he created and fostered, and gave complete support to the Sartin Methodology online Library project. He also reminded me about the old adage 'you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink'. Some will take these precious documents as jewels and read and reread them then implement the ideas in their own way and to their profit. Others will critique Doc's style, the sometimes confusing and evolving or contradictory messages over the years and determine there is nothing there for them. Same exact documents - different eyes.

After you have read something, digested it, thought about it - discuss it or feel free to share with your handicapping associates who may benefit from even one or two nuggets. Who knows, someone may find just the words or insight they need - at the right time in their life and handicapping career - to begin the process of moving from enthusiast but loser, to aspiring winner - to ongoing , consistent certified Winner.

Enjoy!

A big 10-4 on re-reading the material, Ted.

Nice to re-interpret it with today's knowledge as opposes to what we knew and could do back int he day. Our tools today are pretty advanced, but the ideas still apply.

Thanks for the work you guys are doing.
