Ted or anyone else...
Maybe I'm getting a brain freeze here...but can anyone explain why the #5 didn't make it as one of the "early" horses

The #7 is Dominant so it's the first Early horse. Then, sorting the remaining Earlies and Swing horse by High SR, the highest SR belongs to the #4 horse with a 92. So the #4 is the the other Early. The #5's SR is only 88.

Dominance is determined by the Dominance % in the NP Configuration settings - default 58%. If the Top Early horse has at least this percentage of the Top 2 ES points, it is Dominant and becomes the first Early. 29 points represents 58% of 50 points (shows 59% due to rounding issues), so by the definitions, the #7 is Dominant. If you had set the Dominance % to a higher value (e.g. the original 62%), the #7 would not have been Dominant and the Top 2 Hi SR would have been used as Earlies: the #4 and #5.
As it stood (not automatic, but requiring some manual review), at the odds, the #5 looks like a good candidate for the 'Price-only' contender concept.
