Can I ask: for those who run RDSS (either RDSS1 or RDSS2) on Windows 7 64 bit, does anyone run it successfully on the Win7 Home Premium version?
Or do you only run it on the Pro or Ultimate versions?
Does anyone have to run RDSS in the XP compatibility layer of Pro or Ultimate (i.e. it won't run otherwise)?
Again, this question is only for 64 bit versions of Win 7.

Ted, my netbook is 64 bit, Windows Home Premium. I run both RDSS1 and RDSS2 with no trouble, in fact I use it more than my laptop which is 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium. results are about the same with both.

Ted i run rdss.99.2 on my lotop windows 7,just fine.RDSS1 never hear about it,been expecting RDDS2 !

Thanks Ignacio! LOL - I've taken to referring to RDSS 0.99.2 as RDSS1, to distinguish it from RDSS2, which is in Beta. But you're right - there never was a RDSS 1.0 (bad luck).
Re RDSS 2.0 and your comment highlighted above, if you want to join the RDSS2 Beta Testing group, just ask.

Thanks everyone for the feedback re RDSS on Win7 64 bit.
I was trying to gather at least anecdotal evidence to assist a RDSS user updating to Win7 64 bit, having some difficulty and receiving ('easy') advice that the software is incompatible with that Operating System.
I suspect that some 64 bit device drivers are required from the hardware manufacturer (Sony Vaio), or failing that, a factory provided Win7 64 install for that hardware (everyone uses Win7 64 now ...)
I'm sure we'll get that cleared up.

You probably dont remember but I had to cancel my subscription last year because I was having problems with windows 7 64 bit and the datacenter hanging up on my new computer. I forwarded you an email from or previous dialogue requesting a beta copy of 2.0 to see if it functions on my computer.

I'm soooo glad you allowed me to try the RDSS2 install it works like a dream, no more datacenter lock ups. I'm just so happy that I can get back to using my favorite program.
