Walking on cloud nine I became a grandfather at 2:15 this afternoon to a beautiful baby girl. From the moment I knew my daughter-in-law was expecting I prayed for a healthy child and god heard my prayers. At 65 as I am this is so special and I look forward to being her Papa. And take note all
you boys out there, you have to get by me first.

Congratulations trotman, I know how you feel, there is nothing like it in this world.
My youngest grandson just turned 7 on Wed. I was there when he was born and got to hold him 5 minutes after he was born. What a thrill , he and I have been inseparatable
ever since.
Enjoy every minute you can because they grow up so quickly.

Trotman,

There is not much greater than being a grandparent and being a part of a grandkid's life. We have 2 grandgirls, 8 & 6 and they are so much fun. Part of most Saturdays are spent watching and supporting them at either basketball, socer, or T-ball. Oh and don't forget the little dance recitals!

They will be much more complete persons I believe with grandparental interaction than certainly I and a lot of others were as a kid. So enjoy them and help them grow.

I tell people that if I had known grandkids were so great I would have skipped the having kids part and just jumped to grandkids. :D
