This was a good betting race as I thought there were four horses that had a chance to win and two of them were running as an entry. I chose the entry because I thought one of them would ensure a fast pace and set it up for the both the other part of the entry and for the #5 horse. It set up that way but the #5 was further back than I expected and the #6 (my third horse) just narrowly beat the other part of the entry. So the race ran pretty much as expected but with the worst possible outcome.

I took a chance on this race although it is a maiden race because all horses had previous races. It is 7f and I got the winner down to 4 horses. I went with the #7 and the #10 because they were both coming off turf races and both had the correct style for 7f at the Spa. Too much thinking as the winner showed up in the top 2 BL/BL.

I made my bet decision early in the day prior to scratches. I lost one horse in my bet so all the money went with the remaining horse. However, the
#1 BL/BL horse won at very low odds and I would not have bet it. My remaining horse finished second at 8-1 beaten by only 14 lengths.

I went with the #3 and the #6. I would not have won this race no matter how I looked at it. I eliminated the top three finishers based on the way this track has been running. The best I could do was a fourth. Have to keep an eye on this track to make sure this race was just an aberration and not signalling a change in the track.
