Jon, i hope you can find a team to play on, OR - create your own team. The league is an 'inter-board' contest, so your affiliation need not be strictly RDSS - it could be together with some of the Synergism players for example, or Matchup guys or Taulbotians.

You could also simply put yourself out there on the Free Agent list at PA (http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/showthread.php?goto=lastpost&t=99240) and draw into any team needing a 3rd person. Or - try to get another one together here.

So far, I know of 4 RDSS affiliated teams (i.e. teams returning from last year where at least one or more of the players use RDSS), and a couple of other RDSS users on other teams. Plus folks like Partsnut, atlasaxis, Passrace, davew, are also on various teams.

Folks - Mr Pagine (Jon L from Toronto) is the real deal! If anyone is thinking of getting a team together, don't hesitate to contact him.

A few weeks left to organize.

I make it 6 formal RDSS (or RDSS-ish) teams, i.e. teams who want to, or previously were associated with RDSS, though not all team-members may use RDSS.

I think a few teams are still fleshing out their full 3-person bobsleds yet ...

A couple weeks to go.

I just wanted to post the weekly standings in the PAIHL Team Contest so far and give a tip-of-the-hat to all the RDSS Teams and their members who are doing VERY well indeed this year, as this contest enters the homestretch of regular season play.

With 2 regular season games remaining (the next 2 Saturdays), 5 of the 6 RDSS affiliated Teams are in the top half and qualify for the Playoffs. Team Texas seems to have been having a rough season this year, though not 'technically' out of the playoffs yet. We can hope for a late season 'move' against the field a là Zenyatta, but they'll need some help and prayers.

Team Carry On, Carry On are no slouches either! The last 2 weeks, Team Sartin has had a rather meh performance and are only as well rated as we are due to a certain amount of 'coasting'.

We'll have to pull up our socks the next 2 weeks to clinch a Top 6 Playoff round #1 BYE, which is our goal. If we do, we've got a table booked at the finish line for Woodbine opening day (April 20). Hoping Mike can make it up from Buffalo.

Well, Team Sartin went down swinging this past week and we're out of the Contest. FWIW, despite our actual performance and the moaning and complaining from some teams about a horrible collection of races at such a critical point in the Contest Playoffs - in my view, the races were NOT inscrutable, and it was demonstrably possible to get at least enough to finish in the Top 7.

No excuses for us though - the results are the results.

Congratulations to the teams continuing into the 2 day Finals, Friday and Saturday Kentucky Oaks and Derby days respectively at Churchill Downs. Special congratulations to teams Squatheads Rdss and Pens Pens Rdss who both made it into the final 7 Teams.
