I am taking a look at BEL and GP today but I noticed that the tote in RDSS2 is not displaying. I worked BEL yesterday and it failed to work the entire day.
Has anyone been experiencing this?

I e-mailed brisnet and they acknowledge the problem and their programmers are working to resolve it. They do not have a time table as to when it will be complete.

I'm playing Remington and can't get it up
either. Maybe it's a Brisnet problem again.

I just talked to Ella at Brisnet Tech Support and this is the same and continuous outage since the past few weeks. She contacted the programmers during our phone call and they reported that it was an active 'repair' and 'near the top of their list'. If it is not fixed in the next week, she will call me in a week to let me know an updated ETA.
Looks like we need a few more alternate sources for tote info ... :(

Ted, would it be possible to get an alternative source before Breeders Cup?

Vish, looks like we're back in business. It won't be possible to get an update before Breeders' Cup, let alone a new tote source.
I have been doing a bunch of work with TwinSpires and will at least include that alternate tote-source in the next major update.

Thanks as always
Can you not convince Track Master to create a BC pre entries file for RDSS? I know I am repeating my self however if anyone can it will be you. DRF, Timeform and others are releasing their products. It Can't be that difficult to deviate from protocol once a year.:D
I have no issue paying a premium for the pre entries files. Work your magic Bro............

I second Cigar's request... I would love to have the pre entries for the BC now.

Cigar, Ryan -
I hear you, re early BC data files. I would like to have them myself. Almost EVERY year I ask TrackMaster is there is any way that such an advance file could be prepared, and not only for RDSS, but for ALL their product lines. EVERY year (so far, though I have not asked this year) the reply is that it is not going to happen, that there is a set production schedule for data files and for whatever reason, Breeders' Cup is not a reason to modify this - despite what their competitor data providers choose to do.
If I am mistaken that there is some OTHER TrackMaster product which DOES have a special advance BC data file, I would sure appreciate knowing about it, to make the case that RDSS deserves the same.
You are also welcomed to email your view and willingness to pay a premium to Dave Siegel, TrackMaster president (dsiegel@trackmaster.com). Dave listens and I have found him responsive over the years.
Failing that, between now and next year's BC - there should be a way to effectively create the equivalent of a set of PPs for horses entered in an upcoming race. For those who keep an Unlimited database, PPs and Results, a virtual set of PPs can be created by specifying the entrants in a race and drawing from the past races already in one's RDSS database (and as many races for a horse as you happen to have). I understand that many people will not have ALL races, ALL tracks and thus every random horse entered in an upcoming race, but if I can resolve licensing and payment issues, such a virtual race data file could be made available on the RDSS server for download by RDSS users. For a card like BC, not all foreign horses would be on file, but it could be a start.
This should be ready not the next major update (whenever that is, Q1 next year?) but the one following and on a much better timeframe than the update schedule we've seen over the past 18 months ...
Hope that helps guys!
Ted

Thanks Ted-
I e-mailed Dave this evening to see whether anything like that was possible. We'll see what happens.
