I've used the Sartin programs for years now. But, to be honest, I've noticed that the horse with the highest Beyer speed figure, in the past two or three months, when the distance was within 1/2 furlong of today's distance, does just as well most of the time as Sartin's best figure with a lot of firsts in different compound categories.

This throws the form standard into some confusion. Do I go back to the best Beyer figure for a contender or continue to use the last race or two as the Sartin method advocates?

If your paceline method picks in your top 2 60 % winners according to the track model and track profile, I would use it, I tried to used best of last 3 pacelines, considering distance, class, and track condition for non-maiden races. If your procedures work and you are making money, that what counts. Good luck, and skill to you.
