    Hi Rich,

I made a deal with Ted for some books and he gave me 6 months of data files and a 1 year subscription to RDSS.

I don't have New Pace and I don't think I would ever use it.

Partsnut, I did not run Tampa today, only Aqu.
I use the default settings in RDSS and mark the NP horses that come up.
Then I pick my pacelines and eliminate down to 5 contenders.
Lastly I get the Gap Fire numbers at their web site.
    Do you have RDSS ??

"Ted asked if anyone was using the Gap Fire numbers.
I have been using them in combination with RDSS & New Pace numbers. I was going to wait until I had at least 200 races before I listed my findings. But I would like to share what I have so far."

Can you send me a sample of an old file? I would like to see how good these numbers are. Today's Tampa would be great.

    Best Regards,

    Bill H.

Thanks Partsnut, I have never played in a contest like this before. My handicapping is geared towards picking winners that will pay a decent win or win & place price.
I rarely get two races in a row that are playable; let alone 4 in a row.
I am going to play the early pic 4 today because I have less contenders in it than in the late one. I too am refining my process and I am getting 85 to 90% of the winners in my main contenders. So now I am working on getting these down to 3 key horses and keeping a minumum of 80%+ wins at 4/1 or higher.
    My play today before scratches is 2,4,6 // 3,5,10 // 4,7,8 // 3,4,5,6
Good luck today, I will be rooting for you.
    Your friend

    Hi Rich,

I'm used to it. It doesn't bother me.
I've won a couple of these fiascos.
In these type of contests, luck plays a big part in the outcome.

Your doing great. Keep it up.

Actually, I'm testing a new process and today I'm refining it.

I had a $101.50 winner at AQU on Friday and additionally a $23.20 horse at SA. Yesterday I went 0 for 20 (lousy) betting overlays but did peg Ritchie's Match Up race.
So, this morning, I became a little more selective in my choice of races.
Here are the tracks and races I'll be playing today. The races I look at for value are very contentious.
    AQU - Race (6)
    TAM - Race (2)
    .........Race (3)
    .........Race (4)
    .........Race (9)
    GPX - Race (4)
    FGX - Race (1)
    .........Race (2)
    .........Race (3)
    .........Race (4)
    .........Race (7)
    .........Race (9)
    SAX - Race (3)

Today I'm looking at the late pick 4 for AQU
    So far (before scratches) this is what I have. 3,7,8 // 7,9 // 3,7,9 // 11,15,13,2,10
I have to modify my selections for scratches.

Let me know what your up to.
    Good Luck today

    Best Regards,

    Bill H.
