Hi Jeebs…. Gentz here. I noticed an old post of yours on vDos that mentioned your screen being cut off. I’m trying to run Spec160 and I’m having the same problem. Did they ever give you a resolution? Thanks for any help..

Hi, Jeebs. I find it interesting that you're running Windows XP with VirtualBox on a Windows 10 host machine. (I'm posting here because I didn't want anyone to think I was trying to hijack that thread.)

I've used Linux for years and think it's a fine operating system. I have thought about running RDSS 2.1 on Windows XP/VirtualBox on my Linux machine but have never gotten around to working out the details.

Keep up those good race work ups. RDSS gives me so much information that I often get lost in the weeds. It helps me to read how someone else uses it.

    Jeebs,
I took offense to Segwin's chiding you about the question about Aodds98. I don't understand why folks have to be contrary. Maybe he was just sucking up to Ted. I used AOdds for a period of time but I really didn't know what I was doing. I still have the disk but think I used all the copies and the copy protection won't allow further, if it still has a viable program on it. I have learned a great deal the last two years since reading the Hat Check blog and possibly the explanation for the very fast paces that program projected were purposely set to get the user to look OTE. Remember when everything off the pace used to pay a premium. While it still does the sophistication of the general betting public is much advanced from those days.
I think an opportunity exists with RDSS2 to select pacelines using the Energy Screen. This is a window into the race that is not commonly used or people just are not aware of its potency. You may want to look at this. Selecting pacelines that indicate high rankings in E/EP for Early horses, TPP for Pressers and L/EP for more sustained runners gives you a completely different view of a running line. Lines I wouldn't have considered previously and may have developed a prejudice against I only see their energy characteristics. Once you have your pacelines you then go to the Original Screen and can see what type of pace you will be dealing with. I mostly use Bradshaw's Voodoo techniques to separate the horses in the variegation I have chosen.
That is about as automatic as I have found!
