Rdss V0.97.0

On a horse's Past Performance Adjusted screen, the Net SR column (TrackMaster SR less DTV) should agree with the TrackMaster Speed Rating shown on the Val4 or Spec160 F2 Original screen (within 1 point). In Val mode, it does, but in Spec mode (i.e. RDSS default mode), it does not (anymore).

Casualty of Val4 integration, alas. Will fix this for next week's update.

(Please don't bother reporting that the Trackmaster SR figs don't agree with Spec160, thanks.)

Primary Screen

Hi Ted
At Monmouth in race 5 a 5.5 Turf sprint
Its a 8 horse field
horse 1 ,2 and 8, the primary screen is ok
but for horses 3,4,5,6,7 it looks like this

all the per 1 are 1 and no FX

Bill,

You're right in your other post about that 5.5f MTH Turf landem last August screwing up the rankings. That race had no internal call times posted, so the energy calcs are impossible. That paceline should be marked UNUSABLE as in Val/Spec and omitted. It's already on the Bug List. Sorry.

Try using the SR or Total Energy to select pacelines for Analysis. It will work fine if you avoid that bad race.

RDSS Download file can get corrupted

A few testers have reported that the downloaded install file sometimes fails to install and gives this error message when run:
"The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity and try again."

This message indicates that somehow the entire file did not download completely to your computer. The complete file (V0.97.0) is 14.8 Mb in size. Please check the file size of the file you downloaded and you will most likely notice that it is considerably smaller in size than that.

To fix this, delete the download file (e.g. RdssInstall0970.exe) and try the download again. When done, check the file size again to be sure you got the whole file. Then double-click on it to run the installation of RDSS.

Ted:

I believe this was posted before as to a RDSS recently discussed problem which is that at times (rare) there is no Primary/Perceptor rankings. As to past performance data everything looks normal to other entries that do show rankings. If I want to continue playing this race I am forced to utilize Total Energy as a means for pace line selection preference before analysis. When I do finally do the race analysis how will the output be affected as to BLBL, etc, and I must assume definitely that the Perceptor rankings are affected.

Thanks,

Robert

Ted:

I tried to utlize Snagit to copy over the pertinent screens but could not as of yet. I will figure it out. As to the above problem it showed itself on the 3rd race at Arlington horse #4-Bold Caper. I believe there was a problem with Perceptor/Primary and the horses first pp line. There is call time information missing and perhaps this is throwing off the Perceptor/Primary formulas.

Mufasa,

I was reading your post and If your problem is which pace line is best rated by Perceptor this is how I do it.
In this first picture the problem is lack of paceline information from the track.

With this horse I selected his highest three total energy races and then went to the Analysis screen and I was able to determine which pace line Perceptor liked best. This how I solved that problem for myself.

Thanks Froggy.

As you demonstrate I can figure out the better Perceptor ranking with selection and then analysis of the 2-3 best TE’s.

This is not a bug, more of a suggestion. I like to play around with the race sometimes, putting in horses and taking them out and then putting them back in. It would be nice to be able to restore the lines as originally chosen. Currently, if I delete a horse, I have to choose the paceline all over again.
