For Val4, you have to use the TrackMaster 'TMPP' format files (with an EXE extension), found here: http://www.trackmaster.com/cgi-bin/axprodlist.cgi?tpp Also, not to quibble, but Validator4 was made by me in 2006 as an update to the previous Val2 and Val3c published by Dr Sartin and O Henry House, with his blessings. So Val4 has not strictly been around for 10 years. If you are referring to Val2 or Val3, they are outdated due to a data file change in 2006 by Equibase/TrackMaster. RDSS is the successor to Val4. Good luck with Val4, and welcome back! cheers, Ted |
Ted:
Thanks for the come back. I'd like to look into the RDSS program you have developed. Can you send me some info (ops manual and pricing)? Thanks again Lou |

Glad you got Val4 going.
I have Val3C and have been away from the Methodology for a good while. Can any body tell me what the difference is between 3C and 4 ?? I assume Val4 is an improvement on Val3C but actually I am not familiar with Val4. I am very satisfied with Val3C but curious about Val4. Thank you. Doug H. |
Val 3- Val4

hello Doug
Val 3 and Val 4 are pretty much the same program. Doc took some things out of Val 2 and tweaked the readouts very slightly. There really is very little difference between Val 2 and Val 3. Any trackmaster download Sartin program made before 2006 will still use a speed rating /ITV and DTV scale that needed to be updated by Ted, this happened in 2006. Attachment 34301 If you use Val 3 today you will see different speed ratings then you will see compared to Val 4 or Spec 160 Here is an example Here is ORB's PP's with the pre 2006 update Attachment 34302 Here is ORB'S PP's in Val 4 Attachment 34303 |
