OFF topic: I have to laugh at the new brand of science deniers today.

World is a finite place. Population is unchecked so available carrying capacity of the planet HAS AN UPPER LIMIT,which we are now approaching just like any other populations ever studied yet these clowns keep yelling "there is no climate change."

Just a hunch that early speed gets blunted on traditional poly...there are FOUR varieties of it you know

It's those varieties that have kept me from doing any crunching. It would have to be based on individual originating tracks, and I've hesitated as I'm not sure if there's enough data to support any conclusions.

I'm perplexed on the eighth race. The 4 is too short for me, and I can afford to chase some longshots at this point today. Maybe the 2 and the 9.

AQU R8

Go with the two WIPEOUT horses, #9 and #4.

#9 to win and exacta box.

Charlie D 12-12-2008 04:42 PM

Price on #4 looks bout right, #9 looks danger and tad generous at 5-1

#5 maybe fill in 3rd or 2nd if one of above throw a clunker

That's why my NYC winters are warmer consistently than they used to be, and there's less snow.

Meanwhile, the summer's are not as hot for as long as they used to be.

the final group

Charlie D 12-12-2008 04:50 PM

#9 would have had to have Ghostzapper ability to win from that position

Tim Y 12-12-2008 04:50 PM

boxed top 5 epr and singled the 4 in each of the top three slots and made a profit

That's what I thought initially, that Garcia just had her too far back.

In watching the (headon) replay, however, it's apparent that it wasn't the position that got her beat but rather that she was lugging in, with determination, the length of the stretch. Garcia had all he could do to keep beating her lefty so that she kept some semblance of a straight path. If she runs straight she wins.

I have asked many a rider about changing leads and they all say the same thing: move your weight over to the side you want the horse to COME off of....These clowns keep thinking it is the whip that does it.

What does second go round say, pass? :)

I'll make a token wager on the 8.

8 had a single good race, got wiped out in a stake put on the shelf for a year, comes back with SLOW breezing works for a tag....Not encouraging so I went with the other two but that one, IF RIGHT, could be a danger up front.

Balking at the gate

Charlie D 12-12-2008 05:12 PM

Not seen a replay tfm, so can't comment

I'll have a look when it comes on Calracing

The racing form is the information source I have trusted for years and remains the one I trust not Happy Broadbent

and this is a game PIVOTING around the 2nd call

Charlie D 12-12-2008 05:48 PM

Game pivots arounf Fr1+Fr2+Fr3 i reckon, because Fr1 has an effect on Fr2 and Fr1+ Fr2 has an effect on Fr3

In other words race starts when gate opens and finishes at wire

but if you think otherwise then do so
