Rdss/Pizzola/Turf Routes
Let's test the method.
1) Use the best turf route showing in the pp's.For this I will use best Perceptor rank as that is the horse matched against itself. 2) NO hiding of horses. Not what he does. 3) going to show 2 Rdss screens for each race. Segments and Bl/bl which shows decel rankings. Tracks: Arlington Belmont Calder Churchill Hollywood Will work ALL turf routes and post only those where at least FIVE (5) turf route contenders are present. Will make every attempt to post up for the next four days. That gives 20 cards of data. While not definitive it is definitely something to look at. I WILL have time to post AFTER scratches are announced so that's good. Thursday's races: Arlington Race 8 Belmont Races 5-7-9 Churchill Race 4 Calder Races 2-4 Hollywood Race 1 Back in a couple of hours |

Rdss/Pizzola/Turf Routes-- Post #1
Richie: This is an interesting exercise that you are entering into especially as to the best pace line shown in the PP’s. When you use the best Perceptor ranked pace line will there be any qualifiers besides that it was in a grass race? Are you going to require that the horse was in a good form race however you define that? Will you lump route grass races with sprint grass races into the mix and just pick the best no matter? The reason that I ask is because having an idea of any special qualifiers adds to the understanding of the results. Thanks, Robert |

I am using the best Perceptor ranked turf route line showing in the pp's with NO other qualifying factor. I am only posting races where at least FIVE (5) such horses are present. I am ONLY working turf route races. Richie |
Richie:
I understand fully now except since you are just handicapping turf route races for this exercise if you come across a higher Perceptor ranked sprint on the grass will you consider it or go to the next highest route grass race? Thanks, Robert |

If best Perceptor ranking for a horse is from 7f turf race ,2nd best perceptor ranking is from a dirt 6f race and 3rd best perceptor ranking is from a turf route i use the turf route. |

Summary page
I am am making a nice daily summary page I think you will like based on three factors.
1) Segment screen rank 2) Bl/bl rank 3) Dcl rank (from bl/bl screen) Winners and exactas gettable by boxing 3 horses are gonna be tracked and reported based on these 3 factors. Richie |

Richie,
Thank you very much for this insight. I just happen to b playing Arlington today and have been for a while using RDSS. I have had some good luck with it. I will keep playing your idea and let you know how I make out. I also play Monmouth and Belmont and Lone Star. It would be interesting to see how this makes out there. This might also be usable for playing the Polytrack races ie. routes etc. Keep up the interesting work. You have helped me a great deal with my own handicapping. Ira |

Here is today's lineup of races before scratches and track conditions are known at the five tracks we are covering.

Clarity
Just to keep things straight here.
I am testing Michael Pizzola's method of capping turf route races using Rdss in a format I believe is as close as one can get using THIS software. He does NOT bet sprints. I won't work sprints He does NOT "verify" a line so I am not insisting on a "confirming" 2nd line. he has an "abberancy check" on his software but turns it off on races 99% of the time. He takes the best "ppf" number. I match the horse against ITSELF and take the best Perceptor number. I have traded a few emails with Michael and like him a lot. Super capper and one of the hardest working cappers around who puts his cash where his mouth is. This thread has NOTHING to do with Tim Y,Ray L nor anyone else on this site. This is about 1) RDSS 2) Michael's method INTERPRETED by me into Ted's software 3) FUN and a definite learning experience regardless of outcome. Richie |
