Matchup Cd's / Webinar cancelled - Please read

I have received OVERWHELMING responses both here and privately to put all this on CD. Here is what I am going to do.

The webinar is CANCELED. The interest and response has caught me a bit off guard including the private sign ups.

We are at 30 people already and I have NOT emailed the Matchup Newsletter folks yet. HOW would I keep my word and address/give all of you some SINCERE feedback to questions in ONE day???? I can't.

THIS is what is going down and I hope you all will like it.

1) I am purchasing the BEST software to produce a recorded seminar by me. I am also gonna purchase a good web cam so you can see me a bit when I talk to you about some things.

Plus I will be wearing the bolo tie Hat sent me a year ago. He told me he wore it when teaching at many seminars and it is spectacular man! When you see it you will know what I mean. I'm hoping to do him proud. Please no breaking chops about the HAIR

2) It will cover EVERYTHING and more I mentioned in the webinar post. It will be LONG.

3) After you receive the Matchup seminar take it all in at your own pace. Then when YOU are ready and want to talk I will give EVERY purchaser at LEAST 1 HOUR of personal attention/feedback/help by telephone at MY expense. I signed up yesterday for a new phone plan that allows unlimited/anytime calling to the US, Puerto Rico and Canada. Folks like Bill L and Charlie D we will get together a bit differently but we WILL get together if that's cool.

4) There is a new LOWER price structure because of the size of the response to the webinar. Please send NO monies til everything is FINISHED.

*** Matchup Seminar delivered to you and at least a 1 hour personal phone call at YOUR choosing:

$79.00

Seniors 60 and over - $69.00
Combat vets - $39.00

5) I am shooting for a completion date of November 1st 2008.

I want to thank in advance Ted Craven, Bill Varone and Charlie Rescigno for the help they have offered and will be giving me regarding production of the seminar.

I will be sending Mrs. Bradshaw (LeRoi) a check for 20% of each sale along with a note of thanks from everyone purchasing.

What's the Match Up newsletter Richie???

** Charlie - The monthly newsletter was something I was considering a bit over a year ago. It just would have taken too much time each month to do right so I did not go forward with it. It doesn't exist.** Richie

Hola Riccardo!!good To Hear From You Again!! Meaning The Match Up
''thing''.yes It Is A Very Good Idea To Put Everything In A Cd Form,
I Wonder If It Will Be A Good Idea Also, To Present This In A Writting Form With Examples Of Races.some Folks Learn Much Better (my Self Of Course) Something Like ''the Cd's And Manual.the
Ultimate Match Up'' Sure For An Extra Price,of Course.
Just My Idea Richie.

Count Me In Richie

Saludos Ignacio.

No problems from this end. All outgoing long distance to mainland is free on my plan, so when the time comes, I'll call you, all the while trying to remember that you are six hours ahead of me. No midnite calls I promise!

Bud
There was only ONE "Man with the Stetson." :)

He called me the Little Cap and I have quite a few of those so I'm good. I don't wear those things. They get in the way of my hair

Hey tell your partner in the office the "NY mob" says hi! ;) That was funny

VoodooFan 08-08-2008 10:20 PM

Good Deal

Reserve my copy, Richie, I am ready to buy.

The bolo tie will be interesting to see.

Good gesture to Mrs. Bradshaw, she's practically your Aunt, anyhow.

You doin THE HAT proud...., honesty, integrity and PURE HAT style, staying true , the way THE HAT would want it done. All Bradshaw. Good show and a rightful inheritance.

Doing things the way you are doing them, THE HAT is always here.

Always doing your best.

VoodooFan

tleusin 08-09-2008 11:18 AM

I would love to reserve a copy also. Thank you for this opportunity. Thank you also for the appreciation shown our vets. I do not qualify but share your gratitude for thier sacrafice.

Rodz 08-09-2008 02:22 PM

After the seminar.

Hi Richie and everyone on the forum.

If your forum postings are anything to by the seminar will be excellent.
Been missing you on the BLAM site: Now I know why.
If generosity is rewarded you've got lots to look forward to.:)
In anticipation.

Rodz.

Terry Riggs 08-10-2008 02:43 AM

I'm in!

Richie, great idea!! Save one for me, please.
I have'nt got "IT" yet, but I believe the match-up is the key.

"Plan your work and work your plan". Sounds easy, but you will never see "IT" until you "Believe "IT".

All the best,
Terry Riggs

RichieP 08-10-2008 09:30 AM

Ok I have gotten the software with Bill guiding and steering me along! It's the best of the Camtasia products.

Next is the web cam and that's done this week.

Safe day

RAMON201 08-10-2008 09:39 AM

Hi Richie ! Count me in on this. I need something like the cd's to refer to. If I do something enough times it'll sink in. I just signed up last week for the unlimited calling in U.S. and Canada with the cable company and I love it. I know this project will be a first class production and will be a great help to everyone interested in the Match-Up.

RichieP 08-11-2008 05:26 PM

OK just bought a webcam that has a built in microphone with automatically adjusted volume control so I won't have to wear one of those headset things.

My paisan Charlie hooked me up and ordered me a real good one. He knows his stuff and built this computer here for me.

Will be delivered in about 3 days. Moving right along.

fasthorses 08-11-2008 08:45 PM

Thanks, Richie.

Count me in, please.

RichieP 08-12-2008 07:56 PM

Hey thank you everyone for your interest. I am shocked at the response for one reason. It is a fee based happening and I know that times are not exactly flush for everyone.

Folks are signing on from all over the place including some I haven't heard from in a while. It is an awesome experience for me to be seeing this happen. It is freaking me out a bit to be honest.

Along with that also comes the responsibility to deliver something to you that reflects Mr. Bradshaw's teachings, feedback and thoughts on his "way". I will make sure to do just that.

Your trust in me to give you something the way it has been given to me is not unnoticed.

No need to reply man. I just needed to say the above.

Bill V. 08-12-2008 08:36 PM

well I say

Thanks Rich

Rich,

I agree with Bill V on quality of picture and sound. Your first small step turned out very well. Does this make you an official "Talking Head"? :)

Your reference to John Gotti...Here he was in the Phoenix area, supposedly laying low, and he is all over the media. Low and behold he and his kid are busted for running a drug ring.

We all thank you for sharing your special times you shared with 'The Hat'.

Thanks, Pete

Richie,
Your test video came through load and clear. I look forward to the
CD coming soon. I know Jim will be proud of you.

mufasa 08-15-2008 05:28 PM

Rich, the test video came out clear on my PC and the sound was very good. You are an old pro now at this video recording/presentation and I look forward to your CD. “The Hat” would surely be very proud.

I am especially happy about your thoughtful gesture to send JB’s wife and family a percentage of the CD earnings so in my case I would like to pay full cost with no offered age/Vet discount taken.

Thanks,

Robert

RichieP 08-15-2008 05:46 PM

Thanks everyone for the feedback. :)

"Mu":
Your post gave me an idea man. Let me run it by a couple of people who always give me good counsel. Hey thank you!!

Buzz 08-15-2008 06:19 PM

Richie,

5 out of 5 stars. Congratulations.

Video resolution on the shot of RDSS is beautiful. Good detail, very easy to read.

Your head shot ... excellent.

Audio? The best camtasia/internet audio that I have ever heard. No need for me to use my audio equalizer to try and get some comfortable sounding audio. I don't know why but most internet audio is missing a lot of the mid-range frequencies so all the viewer hears is booming bass for low's and S's and T's for the highs.

Your audio is perfect. Even heard the jet airliner going over head in the background. It wasn't distracting but it let me know your audio is spot on. Don't change a thing.

Thanks for all your posts and hard work. I especially appreciate your drive and desire to share your knowledge and experiences of handicapping. It is work like yours that gives the sport of handicapping its future.

Best,

Buzz

noddub62 08-15-2008 11:43 PM

Looking good Richman! Can't wait for the CD. I knew you were a natural teacher and it will come thru in the video. We're proud of you and gratefull for you doing this.

Tell Mom Hi and you should introduce her on the CD as being the real creator of this.

The hair is OK but with a Stetson you would fit right in as a Lone Star State dude man. Hair coming out from under it --- man the tight Wrangler jeans wearing gals down here would be swooning in the padock!!!

Just kidding and not to embarrass you. Just saying thanks.:)

Budman

** Morning Budman! See that description of the gals down your way is why I couldn't live there Bud. I'd see the first 1 or 2 and you would need a spatula to scrape me up off the ground after I passed out man!! Lmao. Hey if you see this please tell Donna hi from Mom and me. ** RichieP

xtb 08-16-2008 12:30 AM

Looks great Richie. Maybe Kianti can make a guest appearance.

** Kianti will definitely make an appearance! This way I can get him up here and away from my supply of purified water "X". He is drinking more of that stuff than me! lol ** RichieP

alydar_ David 08-16-2008 02:00 AM

Looked good, Richie.

The audio and visual was fine.

It was a tad' on the tiny side viewing it with Windows Media Player. Maybe there's a way to beef it up a little without losing the A/V quality?

** Thanks for the feedback matey. I had set the screen shot and screen capture thing set small. I will make one more test vid and that one we will do the full screen to see what happens. ** Richie P

The video quality and sound were excellent. I did hear some background noise. (Television?) Maybe I'm the only one who noticed.

**Morning Steve. Yes that was the television downstairs. Thank you! ** RichieP

The video was small for me too, but I tried right-clicking on the screen while it was playing, and then I clicked on full-screen and it looked just right.

By the way, for those of you who would like to try an alternative to Windows Media player here is a link to a video player called GOM, that really is nice.

The good thing about GOM is that it has most of the codecs already installed, plus it is feature rich. If you right click on the screen you'll see a lot of options. I use it all the time and I like it much better than Windows Media.

I can't figure out how to make it play movies though, but for everything else it works great.
