Well I finished 23rd out of the 251 shooters. I'm fighting them and getting more experience! :)

That's a very nice showing Richie! That is a very tough contest. The experience will serve you well for future events.

Ritchie, congratulations on a job well done.
Your a damn good handicapper and a great teacher as well. Your encouragement and kind words have helped me. You've given a lot to all, including myself and I realize that you are a guy that gives from the heart. I wish you only the best on whatever you do. I will be there for you if you need me. |

Richie:
Congratulations on such a fabulous showing in a truly difficult contest. You are an Incredible Handicapper and an even greater Human being. I wish you nothing but the Very Best in future events. Not only in your handicapping, but, in anything else that you ever tackle or pursue. Lord knows that you will Crush it whatever it is because of your willingness to attack things head on with tremendous zest and fervor. :) You are an awesome guy Richie. All the BEST! Vinnie |
:)
Good job dude! Keep after them & you'll end up on top. Budman |
 stuff Richie and i've gotta ask
Match Up or Software or both???? |
thanks guys for the good vibe!
Charlie: I wanted to raw match 100% but couldn't as stuff wasn't right here to do it at a high level (too much noise etc). I wanted to do software 100% but haven't been used to doing that. I settled on "Plan B": 1) Scrolled the pp's of each race quickly twice. Scratched any and all horses that for whatever reason I felt right away could NOT win. 2) Looked at the race conditions. If it was a cheap class race I opened the remaining horses form cycle window to the past 90 days and hand checked all lines there where blf was 5 or less. If it was a high class race I looked for well rested or lightly raced runners and threw out horses who had raced more than say 6 times in the past few months. Figured they would be tired compared to other runners. I opened these contenders window wide open, checked all lines in pp's where blf was 5 or less keeping a closer eye on the past 365 days performances. 3) Once I had lines and contenders I made a call Early/O.T.E. and made a selection from the grouping I was interested in never selecting the ml fav. That's it. Hybrid stuff Charlie. Just flying by seat of pants if you will! :D *** Biggest letdown was Aqu race 5. Had perfect FPLR play in the #3 MVP. Loved him more than ricotta and eggs in the morning! Ran like an oink oink. |
