AQU December 13

They're not giving anything away in the first race. The 1 is 4/5 at the moment, probably less by post time.

The 7 missed by a nose last out and showed improved early speed. At 3/1, I'll take it.

Maybe will play a 1-7 exacta and a win bet on the 7.

Hi charles...

as unpredictable 2 yo are...I hope the 1 & 7 duel each other out..

I will put a w/p bet on the #2

I've also got the 6 as a viable longshot.
But I do find 2 yo's to be unpredictable, hence my going for a price. I do better with baby routes than I do with sprints.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 01:31 PM

LTO is tad off putting, but I'm betting #6 Charles

#1 to beat

No pressure from any horse and pees in

Well done Charles

Well done Charles

Thank you sir!

I just made the one win wager, and that was at the last minute. It did get away with an easy first half mile, I expected a little more competition up front.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 01:50 PM

I thought #1 would be one to improve Charles and see off #7

Bill V. 12-13-2008 01:50 PM

Philly 2

Lots of strech out maiden winners
I will go with 3 and 5

8.0 on the cold philly dirt

clore1030 12-13-2008 01:51 PM

Race two

I like the "2" entry, but not the odds. They're making the 8 a very tempting overlay if I go back to its last few on dirt, but its two IDT races showing were awful.

I think I'll pass this one, there's "bettor" opportunities later today.

On paper, the 1 did look superior overall. But I refuse those kind of odds and the price on the 7 made it worth the risk to me since my EP rating for it was marginally higher.

I almost backed out entirely, but it was 9/2 in what I thought was a two-horse race. It had a good race against winners also, so right or not, I gave it a class edge.

Bill V. 12-13-2008 01:59 PM

nine

Nine was there on the readouts but not to be

9 3 5 :)

Charlie D 12-13-2008 02:05 PM

#1 had to improve on 1c to get to #7, he didn't and because of that #7 was never taken out of it's comfort zone

a good call Charles

My EP horses were 8-2B-3

Triple was 2B-3-8 and about $760.00

No regrets, I don't play them anyway, but there is a certain satisfaction and boost of confidence that results and I like to think, comes back as good karma.

clore1030 12-13-2008 02:15 PM

Race three

This will be another one-horse play for me.
The 4 is tops in BL/BL by 4.7 points over the second ranked horse, the 2. I love horses with that kind of margin.

The 4 is also #2 in EP and TT, #1 in LP and CPR.

clore1030 12-13-2008 02:44 PM

Race four

Let me know if they move this to the grass before post time. Otherwise, I can't come up with anything inspiring.

Bill V. 12-13-2008 02:45 PM

Philly 4

Hey guys
The 6 is tops off two lines one is from PID and theother from Penn
# 1's in TE and FX and VDC

I will give it a shot at 3/1
also will look for the 7

Hope they run
Bill

Bill V. 12-13-2008 02:46 PM

hope

BTW the 7 is 12/1 and the 0-0 tote x ray !

clore1030 12-13-2008 03:12 PM

AQU Fifth race

One rank up from bottom feeders, not the kind I like to work with.

However, on this oval, I do like recency and on that note, I must play the 4. Normally Philly horses don't thrill me, but this one has a win last out and competitive figs.

The 2 has put in two good efforts after an 8 month vacation, the last a win. If it returns to its last year IDT form, it should be right in the thick of it and is a nice 7/1 at the moment.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 03:19 PM

In Aqu 5th contenders are

#1, #1A and #9

I see OTE, so #1 is my horse

Ya got it - congrats.

Not getting a vibe about the sixth, other than the logic of the favorite winning. Not going to bite at this price.

EDITED TO ADD:
Changed my mind, a rare exacta box on 3 and 7.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 03:47 PM

Aqu 6th

I'm going for #2 , although it's not a gimme, there is a decent probability it may get it's own way up front here

clore1030 12-13-2008 03:54 PM

Now you can see why I don't play exactas.
But the 3 had to steady, so I'll take some consolation there.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 04:03 PM

What made you go for #7 Charles???

Using the third line back, I had it ranked #2 in EP, TT and CPR.

Right now, I'd be black-and-blue if I beat myself up over such things.

But I'll keep repeating for the rest of the day that I shall stick with what I know works for me - betting to win. Fortunately, I've had such a good week so far that I have that to fall back upon.

In the seventh, I took the 1 and the 8. I have the 8 as #1 in EP and TT and that does seem to work for me on this oval.

clore1030 12-13-2008 04:33 PM

Eighth race

A tight fit in a small field. I took the 1 and the 4, the better odds among my top three choices.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 04:38 PM

I've got #4 and #5

#4 can hold off #5 if bouncing back to Bel runs

Charlie D 12-13-2008 04:51 PM

Nice one Charles

TS was shagged once it didn't get lead

clore1030 12-13-2008 04:59 PM

Thanks Charlie.

I love that we NYers are so biased against shippers. I thought the 1 in the eighth should have been 7/5 or so, but certainly not 3/1.

I've got the ninth down to the 3 and 6, but the 8 is a longshot that is bugging the heck out of me.

Charlie D 12-13-2008 05:11 PM

I've got #2, #3 and #10

#2 has a bit of competition up front and 5-2 makes no appeal, so i'll play other two

Ya got it, congrats.
The "things" took the first two positions. That's the kind of hunch play that my ex used to love.
