2 good works out of last 4 and runs well off layoff

and at 15-1 and longshot BOCACHICA riding

Not that my recent record qualifies my opinion, but I can see you cashing on the place part of that ticket perhaps, but not the win. Just that his one win showing was in the mud at 20K and recent drops into the present claiming level didn't move him up any.

I ended up pretty much deciding to skip that race, my confidence in any of the entrants is weak at best.

But good luck to you, I hope it plays out well.

But I am curious over his having broken his maiden five races back while carrying 144 pounds.

1ST ...I like the #3 with lack of speed in this race and also he improves with second start off layoffs

I really needed this one, less for my pocket and more for my psychological well-being.

The horse was much the best, got shut off there in the stretch and had to alter course.

I'll pass the second at the Big A.

Looking ahead to the third race, while I would normally be hesitant to bet a horse claimed for 25K four back and running for 15K today, I just can't come up with a viable alternative from the 1 horse.

Other than the 4 who looks to be the post time favorite.

But Ramon is on the 1, so given his current streak, he could be favored instead.

No lie, thanks for noticing. Two for two so far today, so I may just bask in it unless something outstanding jumps off my screen.

I'm looking at the 7 in the fifth. But it's a field of cheap claimers, and with Ramon on him (just coincidence), I probably won't get a price on the 7.

There's a couple of severe dropdowns such as the 1A and the 5, and I honestly can't predict the pace here as they are all too inconsistent.

Could easily take it if Early energy conserved better, but wouldn't want to take evens on #8 in 4th

p.s. Its not prognostication...its because I bet those others so many times and came up EMPTY...LOL

Some things there are still blowing my mind. Like the seventh race yesterday, where I narrowed the 8 horse field down to 5 contenders. The winner didn't make the final five, but it was disqualified and the horse that was moved up didn't make the cut either. Both had 6s and 7s across the rankings, so it seemed safe to exclude them.

That's been happening a lot since the holiday break, and try as I might in going back to review, i still can't come up with any valid reasons. At each distance, only about half of the winners have come from the top 3 BL horses whereas formerly I was getting between 60-65% of them in that range.
