Big race today is the Canadian Derby at Northlands. TWO of our big guns Almost Time and Tommy Danziger have shipped over for the contest but it appears they will have their hands full with a Delaware Park shipper: It Happened Now with Stylish Citizen the 8/5 choice as this distance is 1 3/8 and ours have never been tested over 8.5f

In the stakes before this one, a filly, Summer Song (a local) should run off and hide

The Alabama looks to be a single filly affair but Casanova Moon could take them a long way.

Casanova MOVE not MOON. I like the good filly Milwaukee Appeal who could be around LATE for part of it IF the track dries up some.

A nice, honest horse who has won about a third of his dirt routes and half of his mud starts. Very active in the claim box also, makes the state a lot of sales tax revenue.

I was surprised to get that price.

That was the second great giveaway of the day. It got bet down more than I expected, but at 5/2 closing, it made my minimal acceptable odds.

That's four straight for this horse, and its biggest margin of victory yet.
