I took the 2 as speed ...with both tied at ep , you think that the turn time will separate the 2 from the 8..

Not betting Mike just looking, but as promised, after the fact, my take. Hid the 6 because of low odds, and didn't like the 11 for a win.
Went with 8 and 1 to win and 1,8,11 exacta box

Paceline selection?
 

Hi Barb,

Nice hit here on the #2, but I'm kind of curious about the paceline selection. Does it not make more sense to have used the last line, rather than one from nearly six months ago as indicative of current form, especially in a cheap race?

I used that line on the #2 because it was the 3rd sprint back on PHA (best of last 3 comparable. I'll take track and distance if possible, but if not, one or the other)and the highest total energy and best perceptor .

It also had a workout at pha 12 days ago, not a particularly good one, but ... I have good luck with cheap races.

also, I haven't done philly before and am just looking around this afternoon.

hope the 1 and 7 fight for lead cause they have no closing punch...betting the 2-4-6

Hi Barb,

Sorry I repeated Bob's question. We must have posted at the same time. But the strangeness of the paceline is somewhat salient. Obviously the crowd was onto this - maybe as a possible 3rd race back of a horse with some back class. Not to belabor a point, but I've always thought the rule was best of last three at comparable distance and surface, which would make the last paceline the choice, although clearly it's up to everyone's discretion.

Old WO horse is getting there Mike,:). Slow but sure. By the time WO re-opens, they'll be ready.

Still not too good at this, didn't mean to add race 9 again.
