P.A.I.H.L 2012 Team Contest

The Team Contest is back this year and RDSS is a major sponsor with 3 month Unlimited RDSS PP+Charts Data prizes for each of the 3 team members. Last year's prize fund also included over $1000 cash.

Here is the signup link: http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...t=89301&page=1

Here are the rules of the Contest from last year: http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=78004 Essentially, teams of 3 collaborate on consensus picks in a number of higher class races each Saturday from beginning of January 2012 through Kentucky Derby Day. 2 or 3 picks are submitted to be scored for points in WPS and Exacta pools. Teams play each other in Divisions, then quarter, semi and final round eliminations.

Last year, our old friend and Matcher extraordinare Charlie D won the contest as part of 'Team Zenyatta'.

3 teams represented RDSS and 2 of them made it all the way to the Final round: Pens Pens RDSS finished in 4th Place overall (out of 50 teams, 150 players), comprising Rverge (Chef!), Chris D (cdax) and Gaz (and returning again this year); and team Squatheads finished in 8th position lead by the illustrious Dogkatcher, along with Goatchaser and Dodgerbecky (sure to reprise their plucky run this year).

Congratulations to all the PaceandCap members who performed so well!

Folks can use this thread to organize teams of 3, seek other team members, then post the consolidated team membership in the PaceAdvantage Team signup thread above. Remember, you have to be registered at PA, and if you are not already, you can do that here: http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/register.php?

If you do field a team this year, it would be great if you could identify yourself with some kind of Sartin affiliation, e.g. RDSS, Matchup, other software, PaceandCap, etc.

Go get'em Teams!

Jim,

I look forward to matching wits with you, if you play this Contest!

Any chance of snagging you for a RDSS team? Or a mixed team - (I know you are an eclectic fellow).

Ted

Chef, we have our work cut out for us matching the performance of your team last year!

Best of luck and skill this year to you, Chris and Gaz.

But best news of all - Sid the Kid is baaack! Let's hope he stays safe from those head-bangers.

Hi Ted,

Between playing cash contests and my regular play, there is little time left for me to concentrate on other contests. I have been playing a bunch on the Derby Wars contest site when I get in the mood to match wits with others. I do enjoy playing in them. I have backed off the National contest scene some as I perceive less value for me to the contests than in the past.

Best of luck to all the RDSS teams!!

Jim

Wow, Ted.

Bringing in the ringers.

I also hope we get more teams to represent from here to show 'em what this group 'cappers can do.

Best of luck to you, your team and all who participate.

Possibly those that wish to participate on a team should list themselves here so that more teams can be created.
In deference to this site, names for the newly formed teams should refer to
RDSS and/or The Sartin Methodology. Ex. Sartinista Pro's (RDSS)
It's a long protracted affair (Marathon) but it should be fun to compete against your friends and peers.
Are you in ???

Ted Craven 11-24-2011 07:57 AM

And, just to be clear - you don't need to be using RDSS: any tool or approach reflective of the Sartin Methodology is great: Matchup practitioners, Synergism, Validator, Speculator, Energy/KGen, etc, etc.

It's all good!

Ted
