Security Error Loading Old Programs
 

Hi folks,
New Paceandcap member here. Like several other members here, I have recently tried to load some older manual entry DOS programs onto a new laptop and gotten security error messages. Specifically:
Quad Rater: Security Error 7043-0003-0001
Synthesis: Security Error 7155-4101-1113

These are original disk copies purchased when I was a Methodology Client years ago. Is there any workaround available to get these to load properly? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Ted, I have an orig Synthesis disk that a friend put on a CD for me.
Loading into dosbox I get a security error. Have you found a fix?

I checked my correspondence with that original poster, and he was not able to load Synthesis in Dosbox 0.74 on Windows 8.1. That was 3 years ago. Perhaps the problem is 64 bit Windows, despite that that version of Dosbox tries to accommodate older DOS programs on 64 bit Windows (presumably including Win10).


Older Sartin programs are a problem in 64 bit environments :( That's why we have the newer program :)
