Book Review Horse Racing Dynamics: How To Master Maiden Races
1 Attachment(s)
Longtime Sartin Methodology client and member of Pace and Cap
N.E Broat AKA "Omar" Has written a very good book about betting maiden races Horse Racing Dynamics: How To Master Maiden Races - A BluePrint for Success Attachment 47542 I received this book about 2 weeks ago, It was written by an old friend from back in the days when I was first starting out with Richie at the Meadowlands When I opened the package I thought, Oh well good for Niel, "Omar" but I really never had much desire to read a book about maiden races. I have known Niel for 21 years. Niel has been a Sartin client since the mid-eighties. Niel is an excellent handicapper and very nice guy. Once I gave the book a chance, I was very impressed Niel has written a very good book about maiden races, and how to bet them. The book teaches a method that is so easy to follow and I must say I am very impressed with the few races I have used the methods outlined in the book. The book consists of 10 maiden races handicapped step by step by Niel The races are from Gulfstream, Tampa Bay, Santa Anita, and Fairgrounds Each race starts out with clear unmarked large print past performances. provided by Post Time Daily 2.0 TM A result chart from Equibase TM follows each race example. Each race is presented in the style which I love. This style is right out of the Follow-Ups and one I have used here at Pace and Cap for years. Each race shows the PP's and then Niel goes over horse by horse in a detailed analysis, Each race is clearly taught as for why each horse is a contender or can be tossed. The 10 example races vary in winning scores for low to amazing I have never been a maiden race player. Maiden races with many unknowns like first-time starters or very few pacelines have always been taught to be avoided within the methodology, But in today's racing with so many generous mutuals opportunities from horizontal bets, It is vital today to include maiden races. I give the book "Horse Racing Dynamics: How To Master Maiden Races - A BluePrint for Success" A 9.5 rating It is a down and dirty workbook The PP's are in a big clear full page format. So many handicapping books reduce the PP's way too small and blurry. Not the case here. Niel presents each race and review in a friends-helping friends style that all readers of Pace and Cap will appreciate Great work "Omar" "Horse Racing Dynamics: How To Master Maiden Races - A Blueprint For Success" on Ebay under horse racing systems (fan apparel sports). Any questions you can email him at mrhandicapper@aol.com |
Is he just showing examples for how he does the race or is there a method for choosing his horses? I am interested!

I should let Omar
Hi Conley
I should let Omar take over questions at this point, My opinion though is, the book teaches concepts in the same format as was presented in all the early Follow Ups "Problem Races" and manual examples Each race is worked in a conceptual format. As in real life, every race is unique There is a worksheet which can be photocopied included. Bill |
I was just thinking today what I should get myself for Christmas.
Good timing - thanks for the heads up - I ordered a copy today! |

Both. I lay out my method in the "preface" and then explain it all in 10 example races. It's really not that hard- no computer required. The hardest part is trying to figure out which tracks will offer the most value on the day you play. I may be looking at Tam and GP and not finding any good plays but as i check the other tracks at the end of the day i may find that at AQU or LRL they had big prices in their maiden races. Sometimes you can't play them all because the races overlap each other time wise. I still average 12 races a day when i play. I play all races, not just maidens. They were right- i never met a race that i didn't like. By the way it's spelled NEIL or you can call me Omar or Mr H. for short. Thanks for the review Bill.

I was also impressed by Bill's review. I ordered the book and it should be here by the end of the week.

Hello Omar
I just bet my first maiden race with real money, This second time starter just won at AQU race 6 Attachment 47562 3/1 came flying up the rail, or as Richie P. used to say He came from Mars I love the book, It sure makes maiden races interesting Bill Attachment 47561 |
McLaughlin is notorious for winning with 2nd time starters no matter how bad they may look on paper after the first race. This one just missed in the first start guaranteeing a low price.

Good hit at GP Neil
I worked the race The 4 was the big favorite as a Pletcher FTS The only other horse that qualified was the 5 who was also a FTS The 5's ML was 6 to 1 He opened up at 9/2 and edge back up to 6/1 at post time. A 60/40 split bet with the two FTS's got me a $10 profit Thanks Bill Attachment 47582 |
Nice one at SA

Received this book Thursday and found time to go through some of it by this weekend. Did a few practice races on Saturday with good results so I decided to make some bets today. I've always been scared of playing maidens but this book has changed my mind and showed me that you really can make profit from maidens. I only looked at maidens today so I wouldn't get distracted and placed bets on seven of them and came out $160 ahead even with my limited knowledge gained so far.
I've never been able to key a winner in a maiden, let alone one with eleven betting interests as was the case at GP4 today. https://i.postimg.cc/k5x6jv7f/03-FEB19-GP2.png https://i.postimg.cc/tTp18nTy/03-FEB19-GP4.png I'm excited to keep learning about playing maidens now! |
Horse Racing Dynamics: How To Master Maiden Races- A Blueprint For Success
Glad to hear of your success. Keep up the good work. If you send me your email (via private message) i'll send you the workup of Saturday's 7th at GP and show you how I hit a $50 winner in a race with 9 First timers and one 2nd time starter. Only 3 copies left on Ebay and that's no joke.
|
Hi Omar,
Apparently none left on e-bay. Are any other copies available ? Best Ken |
Omar, looking forward to reading your book!
Regards, Mike |
Yes I would also like a copy but not sure how much you can hold it for me until I get paid again.

Omar's Book
Received Neil's book via email and a very very good book for maidens. Got a question for the group. Does anyone know a tote system out there that gives minute by min odds updates? I'd be happy with just first and 2nd flash.

hit the roulette
Hi Omar
No I missed that one on my Pick 3 I did catch the Roulette color for $9.20 :o I better break out the book and review :| Bill |
Bill V.
Roulette, i don't even play roulette in the casinos.
I'm looking at the 10th at Tampa. I'm looking at the 8-9-10-11. I'll probably play the 8-11 to win because of the value. Not sure about the exotics yet. exotics 5-9-8-10-11 exacta box. Smile, big smile. Once the 6 dropped to 2-1 that sealed my fate. They ran 6-9-5-4. I saw the 5 take a big drop but i didn't see the 6 drop. Big Frown. The 8 tried. |
Gp Race 8
I had the bomb in the 8th Omar for 33.00 and the exacta. Has been a banner week this week with the maidens some nice bombs.
Bob |
Tam R10 02/23/19
I should have realized the 4 would show improved speed on the big class drop, otherwise the 9 holds on.:(:(:( Glad to hear the good news raceman5. Waiting for the last race at GP.

GP Race 13

Red Green Black
I have been playing the roulette bet at GP
Only 10 horse or up fields Bet 1 $6 > $19 Bet 2 $6 > $11 Bet 3 $6 > $3.40 Bet 4 $6 > 9.20 Bet 5 $6 > In 10 or bigger fields bet all 3 colors for $2 |
03-09-19 races
I will look at Tampa, GP and Turfway, but not the 1st races at Tampa & GP. If i miss information i'll defer to the next race. Haven't looked at TP since last year this time, so i'll get the bias info from brisnet. Good Luck. Omar :( i'm frowning already because when i decide not to play a race, they usually burn me with a price horse.:(

book
Good thing u didn't. there were quite a few MD races at Tampa and some at GP and I lost them all. Price horses just weren't running yesterday a lot of fav won.

Master Maiden Killer
Darmar gave me a new moniker " master maiden killer". Hit that 5th at Tampa yesterday, $326.80. My brain had a rough time yesterday. In one race I wanted to reverse an exacta. I thought I made the bet but after watching and hitting the Race, the money never left my account. Then in the last at GP I liked the 2 and 9. I key boxed the 2 around a few horses, including the 11. I thought I key boxed the 9 also, or so I thought. When the 9 held off the 2 for second again I thought I hit the exacta, wrong, I only had it one way, the wrong way. So that was another one I let get away. Maybe the gears are spinning to fast in my head. So I packed it in after that, never even looked at the last at OP. But they did have a $43.80 winner in that maiden race. I just hit a $217.80 ex. at Tampa today. Waiting for the last race at Tampa and Laurel. May play the rainbow pk6 at GP today. God hunting. Be well. Oh my ecommerce site is up, I just have to tweak the taxes. Hope to be done tomorrow. Omar.

Hi Omar (Master of Maidens)
I used this guy - FTS, Less than 6/1Ml, Bet down with excellent works Race 6 I have the 2,3,5,7 in race 7 for a double Attachment 47849 |
I think my comment got deleted but I will ask again
Does it count as a hit in your book if you only get the exacta? |
Only
"only"?
Hi Conley I am mostly looking for win type bets so, that is what I focus on, I key many horses in the 2,3,4 holes in 10 cent supers I don't play many Exacta's but I am sure the book will lead you to many exactas , as Omar points out. |
Raki Gp 03/23/19 R10
Would you believe it. Raki wins again and pays $87.40 to win. Look at the exotics. $2ex. over 2770+, .50 tri. over $13000+, and the .10 super over $15000+. Thank the gambling gods I had her to win. I run 1st,4th & 5th in exacta.
So he pays $33 first out and now $87.40. Don't bet against this horse on the grass until she loses. Omar:D:D:D |
Louisiana Derby
I'm going against the fave with the 4 and 8 to upset War of Will. I'm thinking some of these will push the fave. Will have to see to see if they can corral him. The 4 should like the long stretch and the 8 is being bet into a horse that beat him last out. Omar
