I have my own software, so I can make my line selection as complex as I wish. So, I have a weighted selection process and while I do have some preference for recent races, I am more concerned with an appropriate race.

I've picked up a lot of tips on here.

Some of my preferences:

1) Similar distance
2) similar surface
3) competitive race
4) best vdc of last 6
5) good race
6) similar class
7) not an extreme variant
8) not going back to 2yo year
9) not a troubled trip
10) lots more

Nothing is absolute. It's all weighted. I keep reviewing to be sure I am not dead wrong about something.

My Favorite Pizzolla saying is a SNAIL = Shown Nothing After a Layoff.

Don't over load decision making with more noise it just confuses the conclusion..Read BLINK by Malcolm Maxwell
