Synergism without RDSS
I thought I would start this thread for people using Synergism the old
fashioned way. Straight from Doc's mouth Because of the way Synergism is able to auto adjust the data there is no reason for any small adjustments to be made. Therefore giving the user more time to pick thier own pacelines. |
Hi Jeff
Can you give us an example race?
Thanks Bill |

hello Jeff
here is race 8 from Pen tonight I did the race completely raw and entered my lines and set up times by hand Here is the first screen I said yes to shippers because of the different surfaces and distances of the pacelines I used Attachment 29847 To keep it simple I used basic phase 1 to pick my lines and get down to 5 contenders I sorted the race by FW My set up times are from the 3 horses with 8.0 pacelines The 3 year best is 136.3 BTW the fulcrum is 113.3 140.1 and is also one of the setup times here is race 8 raw Attachment 29848 |
here is the race fully adjusted by RDSS

In the 8th race at Penn doing the race as well as I can as per the manual
and using raw data, Proved to be the way to go The raw number using 3 set up times and the 3 year best has the win place and show 1 7 8 right on top The adjusted did not do well at all  Attachment 29852 Attachment 29850 Jeff may be on to something This really was not that hard to do If Ted could make it so that the shipper and set up times could be entered by hand first, then the raw pacelines I think Jeff is correct that the program should make the adjustments not RDSS BTW here is the RDSS BLBL using the same lines Attachment 29851 Bill |
Bill,
Way to go by looking at your dream race the 1 owned the 1st and 3rd fractions so pretty much looked like a lock. I really havent played anything the last 3 weeks as the cards have looked really bad.The next time I see an interesting race I will post it. I dont know if you have done it or not but listen to those Synergism tapes as Doc gives a great presentation on the dream race. |
Bill,
Nice work. Incidentally, if all the pacelines are from the same track you don't have to answer "Yes" for shippers as the program will automatically make the adjustments. Jeff, By any chance do you have the link for that video? |

This is from the SYN ll manual
In my race all the lines were from Penn but I had different distance and 2 off tracks so I read this to mean say yes to shippers in this race? Attachment 29858 any help would be great Bil |

What I'm not sure about -- how to handle artificial surfaces. For example, if today is a dirt race and the paceline you're using is from a tapeta race does that call for a "Yes" adjustment. I don't know. I've been saying "Yes", but like I said, I'm not sure. |
Bill,
David is right off tracks and different distances are handled by the program. David, I got that from Doc on the Syn tapes which are in the library. |
