Saratoga 2023 Meetup!

Wee're baack at Saratoga Springs this year on the traditional weekend of PaceandCap Meetups - Alabama Stakes weekend, August 18-20, 2023 This thread is to get an idea of how many folks might be planning to attend. Presuming there is enough interest, we can get the usual collection of tables in the Four Star Dave carousel restaurant, our recent traditional meeting place. Charlie B - save a seat for me! I will also organize the traditional Friday evening seminar at the NHPLAY offices, showing off what's new in RDSS, working Saturday races, demonstrating some successful profitable methods - meet & greet & eat! For those who might be coming for the first time, we'll get together a collection of hotels and good places to eat. After a 3 year hiatus for the Pandemic  I'm really looking forward to getting the gang back together and seeing all my old and new friends again. We always have a blast and learn a lot from each other. It could be a great way to kick-start your game to a new level. See you there! Ted |
Ted ......I will be there . I look forward to meeting some of the people in person. Jim

I have a lot of photos of Saratoga. Here are just a few from August 2017. Our friend Bill Ziemba (aka Dr. Z) who bet more on a race than I bet in a month. At Tom Morley's barn to see Bill's new filly. I was with Lt. Tim who was such a good sport because it had been a long day and we were tired and wanted to get back to the Desmond. Bill never seemed to run out of energy. And Chad Brown who was friendly while Mr. Pletcher was not. I was surprised that Kenny McPeek actually remembered me from a bar in Lexington. I was in the saddling area because of Charlie's credentials. Thank you, Charlie.

He passed in 2008 and I was divorced 10+ years ago, but I still thank him for getting me into handicapping and then reading the Formulator follow-ups. |
