2020 NFL Contest "In Honor of Bill V"
 

Thank you Ted and everyone else for their nice comments on me being introduced as the Sports Moderator for Pace and Cap!

As you may know Bill V passed away on May 7th of this year and was a shock to us all when we heard the news. He gave so much to this forum especially to the Sartin methodology and the RDSS software plus Jim "The Hat" Bradshaw and also older Sartin programs like Validator or Synergism.

Just last year I asked the favour of giving a idea of creating a sports forum and seeing if Bill/Ted could create something like this where users can post not just picks and betting selections but to also run a contest(s) for football: everyone's Sunday sport to watch on the sofa for an excuse of not doing the chores around the house.

I was so happy when I got the message of Ted saying "YES" to this forum and now it is in it's 1st year of existence! We did have a contest to where Bill V ran a full season of the NFL's 99th season where users were asked to make 2 picks per week via ATS or "Against the spread" and have a running record of who was good and who was not so good. In the end Rverge or "Mr Vegas" won the Regular season outright with a record of 24-9 followed by Akinsrr with 19-13 and my brother HHE10 with a record of 17-13.

Even though COVID-19 has make our lives difficult to live and also harder than normal I have decided as your Sports moderator to create a NFL Handicapping Contest dedicated to Bill V. He did have a record of 13-21 which put him in last but was a 1st place winner in all of us everyday.

Here is how this years contest will work:
FREE entry.
Playing each week of the 2020 NFL Season "Against The Spread"
Picking 1 game per week from either Thursday/Sunday/Monday
Lines are from VegasInsider as of Thursday am
Cut off time is 1 hour before kickoff of the game you have selected
Prizes will be announced when the Regular Season concludes

I was thinking of people wanting in to say "Yes" below and then when the Regular Season concludes then I will figure out the payouts! Sort of like a 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes with more to the winner but 2nd and 3rd still get something!

I know people might not be fond of picking more than 1 game per week but it will be sort of like everyone's "Against The Spread Play Of The Week" and it will be easier for me to keep track of and figure out =)

Let me know what everyone thinks but I think this is a good kickoff (hence the football humour) to me being the Sports moderator!

I wanted to carry on something that Bill V did and that was the football contest he hosted (and also played) last year which was fun to say the least

Buffalo Bills -6.5 Even though the coach and offensive coordinator would like to win every game 3 - 0 sometimes the team messes up and covers the spread. I think that this will be one of those times
