I looked at this race and got it down to 4 contenders ; 1-4-5-8.
I bet the .50 tri for 12.00 and got back 47.90. the 1 and 5 were my top 2. I only bet the 5 to win at 7/1 pd 16.00. I passed on the 1 at 8/5. Thanks for posting this race. rmath |
Congrats to all the Matchers who had this nice winner.

Mike, I looked at this this morning then got tied up, so just now am seeing the result (no bets).
Here's what I had. I'm trying to get it down to 3 horses on top using Rx, tote - finding weaknesses where I can (if any) in favourites, and prices among Primary horses when available. Attachment 45922 Ted |
Reading the conditions
In the race posted here in the matchers section (7th at Gulfstream) how many of you paid any attention to the conditions of the race?
How many understood the conditions of the race if you read them? The race is for three year olds and up. The first part of the condition says “for three years olds and up that have never won two races”. (self explanatory) The second part says “OR three year olds”. Notice there is no limit on the number of wins for three year olds. Just 80 days ago, these three year olds were TWO year olds. Now, it is possible that one of these three year olds may have won two races in 2018, but under the conditions, it doesn’t matter. Why doesn’t it matter? Because their penalty is that they are running against older horses today. Look at the three year olds. How many of them have run against older horses? Answer: NONE After winning the triple crown, even the great Secretariat got beat the first time he ran against older horses! And that happened later in the year than we are now. There are only three horses in the race that are four year olds or older. They are the #1, #5 and #7. The winner? #5 at $16.00. Reading and understanding the conditions can be helpful. |
Nice job Richie M and Ted.

I thought the 8 was going to pull this one off with his last race power move against projected, but 5 with his move from eight races back and his current form proved to be the decider. There were other ways to get to the winner but the Matchups power line and power moves worked just fine here too. Thanks for pointing out the race Mike.
